Thanks to a quick solution to my problem. The secret was to unplug the printer when it was on. Then I could move the ink carriage manually. I then discovered one of the ink cartridges wasn't quite seated properly. Problem solved! Thanks again!

Another big thank you! It was the cartridges in my great, OLD, MX 922. They 'lit up' when I replaced them, but that doesn't mean they were properly seated. (I've only changed them a million times.) This thing prints such great pictures, I leave it loaded with $$$$ photo paper and print the normal crap on one of my other 3 spread out around the house. *I have no idea what I can upgrade it to, when it's time?*

Canon printer is sincerely the most terrible printer I have in my life. Bought canon ip7240 since 2018 and till now, I haven't been able to use it till now. Displaying error 6000 and d ink doesn't display the supposed red light

Thanks. Please release or make available for purchase the Service Utility Tools for the machines that you no longer accept for servicing. It's kind of heart breaking that I can't clean the ink absorber and reset it for myself.

@@CanonUSASupport Thanks, but I went there first. I also called in to Canon support who simply said they couldn't help and that they don't have service centers which would service the printer for me, not for money nor anything else. There's no where in the forum that links to the official service utilities that would let me reset the printer. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi, I switched the power button off when the c000 came up. Is there any way I can clear this error code now?
