This is just clickbait - the specs of the R1 are not confirmed at all.

The specs are not confirmed, but they've been leaked for months. The only people who don't know this seem to be ones that don't keep up with patents and leaks. We knew basically 90% or more of the specs for the R3 and R5 and the R6 even ad well as the R6ii because those cameras got a lot of attention. These will pretty much be the specs. We had two rumors that came out one said it was 33mp, and then another one that came out and said "30mp is pretty close to reality". 90% being that we don't know the video specs, but it needs to be 45mp for 8k so we know it won't do 8k. It's not really hard to figure these things out 🤷‍♂

The retailers didn't "leak" the specs accidentally, they accidentally posted the "leaked" specs, which is still rumoured. FYI, retailers will NOT know anything more than what we have been provided from Canon. Dont make them out to know more then they do

Lol the leaks are filtered though, and the leaks that were given were from people who previously leaked other cameras though. We've known for months these were around the specs it would be. The leak we got was 33mp and now we're hearing 30mp. They're never 100% accurate, but they're always about 90% accurate.

Yeah. I had a R3 already. Sold it about half a year ago to make space for R1, but then the specs lists were leaked and the price just kept dropping further. You can already get a used one right now for $3300. It's just going to drop even more when people flood the market with their R3's. Was already a fantastic camera I just needed the resolution but god I miss it for certain things. Know a lot of people after seeing the specs that are just hanging onto their R3s now and not planning on an upgrade and looking at the R5ii instead now.

You're doing yourself a disservice by releasing this video. Those supposedly leaked specs by Adorama were copied from a guy in Japan who's been leaking stuff for a while and his accuracy has been hit or miss. Now, in the end you and a few other RU-vidrs who taking this as fact may be right, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
