This has such G1 energy (or even the toys that would eventually become G1 before they were gobbled up into the Transformers license) in a way that we havent seen since like.. Music Label. I love it
my highschool used to have cameras very similar to this, so seeing not just one, but two transformers with hyperrealistic eos5 alt modes kinda makes me happy. the lens bit that comes off is also a nice touch. when i started this video, i was curious if it actually did come off, and im very happy to see that it does, and in the same way a real cannon lens does
Honestly, Hasbro/Takara should try to get more of these real world product partnerships for main line. Imagine a Soundwave that turns into a licensed Bluetooth speaker.

I love at the ending skit how Bumblebee is disliking Optimus Prime's idea of disguising himself as a camera since it makes him look ridiculous while Megatron likes Refraktor's idea of it since he was a camera in the beginning.
I actually find these really cool, because I use a Canon EOS DSLR for my videos. Different model, so I can't say for sure how accurate this is, but it looks similar enough that I'm almost tempted to buy them. Almost.
Disclaimer: The actual camera on the alt modes does Not actually work because it doesn't have batteries and wires inside, It's a toy not an actual camera, The "Actual" one works but not the toy with the crossover, Just to give you a heads up.

14:21 The Matrix has hand holds like it was designed by Canon. I'm assuming thats intentional, and very cute touch to add. Or it could just be extra plastic they added to it fit in the chest, we may never know :P
Do I see tabs on the Matrix and Quantum Dial that would let the figures hold their shinies? Because if so, this Optimus is now one of the few Primes with a removable Matrix that he can actually hold.
Am I the only one who kinda wants see the Reflector version redone a couple of times - one with greyscale 'Bot parts to better match Canon's coloration because, I'm sorry, but it's kinda freaky when a Transformer sprouts from some random object sporting entirely different colors to the object they're now wearing, and another that recolors the camera parts to match Reflector's grey and purple, even though the borderline-gaudy décor is probably heretical to a company that specializes in more discrete coloration of it's products? I'm also kinda surprised, but not really because Canon probably didn't want the collectible toys they signed off on to be associated with obvious weapons, that at least the Optimus and Nemesis versions' lens caps weren't slightly altered with an optional flip-out axe handle, either along with or in place of the shield grip - it's the PERFECT opportunity to give an Optimus, and by extension, a Nemesis, his signature axe, and it would have inconspicuous storage in Alt-Mode to boot!
in my opinion, even though it would be ultimately parts forming... they missed out on giving reflector or optimus a weapon system by packing a "flash" that would fit on the camera... plus it would complete the look... felt they were missing weapons. I like my transformers to have guns with them.
uh MP 10 optimus prime crossovers with many brands (including evangelion), Optimus prime playstation and megatron sega megadrive, optimus prime pen, bearbrick optimus prime. Not all crossover are original characters. Many times product crossover used optimus prime, megatron, bumblebee, soundwave and starscream because they’re recognisable.
honestly, I hate it completely. If I wanted a realistic camera transformer, I always go with War for Cybertron: Siege Deluxe Refraktor Reconnaissance Team. They did it right

For me personally, I wish all buttons and switches would work and they probably could made the flash and viewfinder work. The screen probably too. If the camera mode would be more realistic I would have get one.

Awesome review, Emgo! I absolutely love these, especially Reflector... nice to see him getting some love 😁 Prime as a camera might be a bit odd, but it's still not the weirdest thing he's ever been... that prize still goes to him transforming into a sneaker 😆
Prime always has to do these dumb things because he's recognisable, a casual fan would not likely go for a Reflector but would certainly go for Prime & hey it is always fun to see the new weird alt mode for a Prime so I never mind
Camera looks great but for me...them bot modes are just horrible lol. An expensive figure that I'm glad I didn't pick up but I'm glad you are happy with these....things 😂
