Fun fact - Canterbury, just like Bath, was once at the centre of a vibrant coal-mining industry! All down to a Victorian Channel Tunnel Boring Machine which found itself out of a job in 1881! It's normally possible to take a guided rowing boat tour beneath the city centre, which is well worth doing. Whilst Choral Evensong in Canterbury Cathedral is too good to miss.

So pleased you made it to St Martin`s Church - the oldest parish church in the English speaking world, with it`s associations to Queen Bertha and King Ethelbert ( Saxon ).
