I think a big difference between Meursault quiet and Faust quiet is that Meursault doesn't speak unless it's important or he's prompted. Faust speaks whenever she feels like but *chooses* to say nothing of value. Or rather, there's a sense that Meursault's is unintentional. That he doesn't *mean* to be unhelpful but he doesn't quite "get" it if you aren't direct. Faust, however, clearly knows what you mean, she just *refuses* to help.

I don't typically recommend using counter skills, but NMeursault is one of the few characters where you might actually want to use it.

Refusing a gift still results in getting a random Mounting Trial, so you may as well get one and sell it later. Pretty many still do normal MD, be it either for for extra farming after the weekly bonus or because hard is too tough for them.

One thing I really liked about Heathcliff in this Canto was getting to see his more humane side outside of his tendency to solve his anger issues with gratuitous acts of violence. First there was the scene at K-Corp where Dante kinda implies that if not Don, Heathcliff might've jumped in to intervene. Then at Sinclair's village, there was his argument with Mersault over his stance on Kromer's hammer bros. The same guy that bonked Sinclair to death and threatened to do the same to Dante in the prologue actually stood up for Dante's rights and got pissed at the possibility of Mersault doing the inquisition war crimes just because he was ordered to.

As for where Sinclair's fighting prowess, from as far I can tell from all his IDs he's just fucking built different and picks up on the violence so quickly it's basically just instinct.

Very excited to see how this tier list changes after Hell's Chicken and Canto 4, one interesting thing to maybe pay attention to with Faust is that she constantly switches between third person and first person, for example when giving exposition she always refers to herself as "Faust" but in normal conversation she usually uses a simple "i" instead, we don't know WHAT that means yet but knowing Project Moon and her Book of Origin it's bound to be important somehow. Now, G Outis was very good in Sinking Teams back when we had very few sinking units, she still has some pretty quick Potency stacking and since she's single coin all around she also doesn't burn through your Count as fast which makes up for her not having any Count infliction herself, her Skill 3 was and still is very good at clashing and her Skill 2 is also nicely consistent, though the free Haste is one of her more impactful benefits since Speed Control is incredibly important in abno fights to be able control who clashes with what. RoseSault is... Decent on a tremor team? He can get a decent amount of Potency going but he doesn't really do much else for your team, especially with those rolls, but his support passive is pretty good in any team that inflicts some Tremor even if it's not based around the status. NSault is an ID I've never used so i can't say much, but i know he's considered not very good outside of a dedicated NCorp Team generally. Also quick PSA: If you refuse a gift you DON´T skip the mounting trial, the game picks a RANDOM one, so it´s almost never good idea to not pick one.

As a fellow Gregor enjoyer, I will say that he has some very strong 000 IDs, so pulling gunning for them is actually pretty worth it. Also, the "Hell's Chicken" is more of a Canto 3.5 kind of deal, like a prologue for the next full chapter. It's the first of its kind and certainly isn't the last from what I'm seeing so far. Plus I agree with your sentiment regarding Faust. Not sure where Project Moon will take her personality in the future but yeah, we need some of that spice to her life.

Please, PLEASE read some abno logs on video, they give such a good insight to the sinners, both as a team and as individuals that interact with each other. My personal favorite is Yi Sang poetically talking about how the Ardor Blossom Moth reminds him of how we know that fire is dangerous, but we always yearn for its warmth and draw closer to it. Gregor lambasts him for just casually walking underneath it and bursting into flames.

About faust, I feel like she isn't really part of the sinners, and more like charon and vergil. Especially in some of the Canto End CGs, she doesn't really appear to interact with the other sinners at all, usually on her own or with vergil. I feel that the reason she doesn't show much personality is because she doesn't feel part of the group at all. Meursault will get some nice lines in Hell's chicken and the next canto. Also, heathcliff DEFINITLY grows on anyone.

Have some fun facts about the N Corp IDs! No spoilers here, I swear. 1. The only one with no special interaction with Fanatic (increased damage by having it/giving it to allies, etc) at all is N Heathcliff. At Uptie IV, Heathcliff rolls pretty low unless you team him up with at least 4 N Corp members, which allows him to roll up to a 19. Since you've already seen that he REALLY does not want to be there, this shows that he's only ever willing to try if there's other inquisitors around. 2. N Don who, in her story is shown to be VERY into what N Corp is doing, gets an upgraded version of Fanatic; it lets her deal more Nails as her passive. 3. This one is gonna be lengthy, but it does provide some meta story. N Corp Sinclair is absolute poopoo at being an Inquisitor in terms of team building. NClair deals Burn instead of Bleed, and he can't even deal Nails, N Corps unique status ailment. Even the one skill that needs Bleed to take extra effect, Self Destructive Purge, simply deals more Burn. N Corp Faust's passive, Whistle, gives more SP and Fanatic to allies with the lowest SP, but using it badly with NClair screws him over as he needs to roll Tails for his attacks to deal damage. Faust's 3rd skill, Execution, can also have this effect on him. As a whole. N Corp Sinclair does not work well with fellow Inquisitors*. At most, he gives a 10% damage buff to them and... that's about it. Since N Sinclair's kit is entirely Blunt damage, which Inquisitors are fatal to, it would be very easy for him to rebel... if it wasn't for the fact that N Faust resists Blunt damage. Assuming the two were to fight, N Sinclair would be at a disadvantage, since Branch Of Knowledge, his EGO, has a Fatal weakness to Pride; which means Execution and Representation Emitter would be the end for him. However, N Corp Sinclair has one final hope should he rebel against The One Who Grips. Branch of Knowledge is a Gluttony and a Slash attack - the two things that N Faust has a Fatal weakness against, assuming that she has Representation Emitter. N Corp Sinclair has one shot at rebelling and it's with Branch that he has a fraction of a chance to do it. *In fact, N Corp Sinclair's best team is with the Liu Association and Dark Flame Outis, with N Corp Faust as a Support Passive. The Liu Team and Sinclair can stack some pretty heavy Burn together, and they have enough Lust skills to activate Whispers to keep Sinclair from Corroding. It also gives him Fanatic, which increases his damage with his S2 and S3.

I keep hearing about malding from Foreman, and I don't know where it's coming from unless it's the Discord because it's certainly not from the RU-vid comments (Or at least from the NClair Kromer Solo Foreman did).

G Outis is like base Ish in that she has single-coin skills with surprisingly high clash values. She's better than Ish because her skills provide some utility with her effects. Back in MD2H when you were hard capped in how many 000s you could bring she was one of my staple 00s to bring just for the early clashing alone. Rosesault is a funny ID that builds and spends charge with the same skill. Unfortunately he only uses it for tremor which as usual doesn't do much on its own, and he can't use the charge to benefit from EGO gifts either. NSault is... fine I guess. At UT4 he has the Shi gimmick of getting stronger at low health, and stagger bar lowering helps him a lot with that. Unfortunately he doesn't have a lot of clashing or damage potential, which all the good tanks actually have, but N corp synergy is still pretty strong.

Around the time I beat canto 3, I still don't know much of any character at all cause I just kinda go through with everything so I highly appreciate the perspective you have and how your thought changes with each chapter. Also about the captain Ishmael banner, all I could say it that you really wanna grab her before the end of the season or you will have to rely on rng to get her until the next season finished. Unfortunately, this also means that the season 2 IDs is currently gacha only so good luck

NNgl I just can't wait to see how much this tierlist gets jumbled and shuffled around by the very next Intervallo. Not saying it's guaranteed to happen, but I know from myself that, like you, my opinions on the sinners overall didn't change much during the whole Canto 3. Then 3.5 hit.

I am stupidly late to the party this time around, but here are my ID reviews for this video! Rosespanner Workshop Fixer Meursault: A pretty good Meursault ID, and one that seems pretty good on paper. The skills are all pretty decently rolling and roll above average in most cases with Tremor requirements that are unlocked at further Uptie levels. There's only one small, cripplingly awful issue: There's zero count on this kit. Not any, and his Skill 3 takes away 3 Count on hit, which is really bad when the entire kit has absolutely nothing to provide the count he needs. I heavily recommend pairing him with someone who gives a metric ton of Count if possible, as while he's alright on his own... being able to actually use tremor at any meaningful capacity is probably a good idea, especially since he does get some pretty neat mileage out of it with his Skill 3. G Corp. Head Manager Outis: A dedicated support unit with stupidly high-value Skills, especially for a 00 ID. A Skill 3 that clashes at 22 and inflicts 2 Attack Power Down is certainly no slouch, and her other buffs are also pretty good... the problem is that it comes at the cost of being ridiculously swingy and doing piss all damage. You lose one clash, and Outis is taking damage no matter what, meaning that at best you have a 5% chance to get screwed which will inevitably happen, and on top of that because she only has one coin the damage output on her skills is negligible at best. Her Support Passive however is really quite nice: Owning 4 Sloth is pretty easy on a few teams, and the random buff it gives can be pretty handy, provided you don't get Defense Power Up which is functionally useless. N Corp. GroBhammer Meursault: N Corp. Meursault is... interesting, in some of the stupidest ways possible. First, the elephant in the room, that being his abysmal skill values. Each and every single one is hot garbage of that biggest dumpster-fire variety, and it's really telling when the highest rolling Skill on his kit hits a 14 at best. N Corp Rodion had similar issues, and in terms of clashing, this ID is only slightly better. What he GETS in return for those absolutely awful values is being not just an incredibly effective tank, but also having a pretty potent healing on his S3 alongside Stagger Threshold reduction on his S1, meaning that you ocould potentially make it impossible for him to get staggered. The absolute best part of this kit, however, is the Counter. +1 Protection at the start of your turn, no questions asked. Running him solo, with him spamming almost exclusively his Counter skill with the occasional S1 or S3 is a genuine strategy. It's probably not optimal, but it's one that became possible as a result of this special Counter skill. All this to say, he needs to pick his battles. If he can't win a clash (which is most of the time), a counter will do the trick. If he has a free shot... well, his S1 is still very much a useful thing to keep in mind.

Hell yeah fellow gregor enjoyer. Hope youre able to get one of his IDs soon. Especially Zwei, but the pirate is really legendary too, high damage dealing. And g corp is fun too. And Rosepanner. And chef (dont let people tell you otherwise)

I think you'll really enjoy hell's chicken it's very character focused where the mission takes a backseat so everyone gets some time in the spotlight, it should really help with the placements next time

I will say that, regardless of how good a full n corp team is, it is very very fun

Personally i would suggest not pulling Captain Ishmael or at least skip her uptie 3 story before doing Canto 5 because it is kinda spoiler-ey in regards to her Canto but play as you see fit, just saying

Gotta love the tier lists for what you think about them per their development in each Canto. I think the reason why Faust hasnt been interesting despite my Bias for her(Faust's literary connection to witches and a Zweihander i love) is because we know nothing about her, nor is she the type to start talking about herself, but I do want to learn more about her, but that wont be happening for a while. Because theres actually a pattern already established with Canto 1 to 3 that I wont be talking about to keep each Canto a surprise and if that is anything to go by, we probably wont be hearing much about Faust personally, but I do love her antics. (On a random note, I love Seven Faust. My library of Ruina character in your playthrough with the seven association outfit feels justified now)

Grobhammer mersault is an interesting ID, he works mainly as a tank (in uptie 4 he even gains aggro on skills to lure attacks to him), he can take a lot of hits, he isn't very good a clashing (only skill 3 is alright for that), but, mainly his counter is very good, when used he gains protection, so he just take 10% less damage for the turn (if at half health his passive makes it 40% damage reduction), and also it allows him for deal damage even without clashing, his skill 2 can apply some great debuffs if the enemy have a lot of nails, so in a dedicated N corp team thats pretty handy, usually with him you should try to redirect attacks to him and use counter if the clash is not reliable

Sinclair's just got that dog in him. And the mark, I guess. Probably. N Corp Meursault works as a pierce resist tank, which you might not find much use (for now) other than going full Inquisition. His clashes are also trash so you're incentivized to use his counters. Unless you invest in Capote + Regret EGOs in which case he can actually win some clashes and deal decent damage. He's actually an... acceptable choice, for a segment in the current Refraction Railway (endgame content, basically) because he's a big slab of pierce-resistant meat with a hefty debuff. One day they'll let him out of his tank/support role and we'll see some funky bullshit with his +2 coin power Regret EGO passive, one day...

As much as the "Faust" Teir pains me... I can certainly see where you're coming from. Not that it dissuades me from being a fan of Faust, but I do understand.

An advice on how to judge baseline clashing potential. Because you can rig your coins up to 95%, it's good to just assume the best case scenario, so just check their Base Power + (Coin Power x Number of Coins). Or.. in combat, the bottom number in their clash range. The exception to this is N Sinclair due to -45 Sanity not being a stable state for him, but his numbers are big enough for it to not matter. That said, while G Outis is a solid clasher at 45 sanity, she's a bit 'all or nothing' before she gets there. Shi Don is similar.

For the sinclair being noncombative and now able to fight decently two options i can think of one he just trained to get vengance or the "pact being made/sealed" mentioned earlier in the game during tutorial area caused the group to become more even in power so the stong ones get a bit removed and given to the weaker members ie sinclair but they can become stronger overtime together so less power now for more later. This is just my speculation and some others

People have said it before, but Faust is soooo much more interesting when you get IDs to uptie 3. W Faust reveals a whole lot about her motivations- Seven Faust gives her a little more personality, so on and so forth. Every Faust ID says a little bit of something, but you just have to be inundated with them for long enough to sorta get it. No fault on you for not having spent like, half an hour idling about listening to faust voicelines. I think this is PM trying to be secretive, but they still can't help but slip every once and a while and spill just a little bit of the beans about her.

I mean.. if you're struggling with Sinclair from going insane.. Faust is there for a reason Her Passive activates by using 4 Orange/Lust skills in a turn and she restores 15 SP + 1 Fanatic (for two N Corp IDs) and she will always target Sinclair for it

More Outis IDs would definitely be nice (a 000 would definitely be grand~), tho I gotta say, Cinq Outis is practically as good as her 000 IDs. We also haven't really seen you use her since (iirc) Canto 1's dungeon? Time for ID advertisement~ :D [LONG] Her Cinq ID rolls quite nice on her S2 & S3 (especially on her s3, more on that later). Her whole schtick is being a tank with her Aggro, how her skills Clash really well, and how high her Evade can roll based on speed values. Her S2 has an easy Power Boost requirement to meet and some nice Bind support. Her S3 is her shining glory imo; that thing is a monster. A classic Outis head-or-no-head-fuqit-we-ball S3. It's lust so you can get Whistles going with it. On a crit, it does good dmg. Gives Haste to allies for some support like G Outis (more on her in a bit), and it can outroll her Base EGO. Absolute peak S3, one-coin wonders are my favorite~ Now, for G Corp Outis, the one-coin wonder~ Her S1 rolls like any other S1, tho it needing to hit for it to give protection makes it even less impressive. Not to mention, you wouldn't want anyone to get in hit in the first place, but Protection is good for any unforeseen tail hits. What keeps it relevant tho is that she needs it for her Passive. Her S2 is better. You only need to use it to give Power Up, which you can imagine is more useful in general. The dmg up is also useful; 20% extra dmg is a step closer to putting the enemies in the grave after all. Her S3 is yet another Classic Outis head-or-no-head-fuqit-we-ball S3. The Sinking is something. The 2 Atk Power Down is definitely useful, as one can imagine. On a skill that's guaranteed to win half the time (or 95% of the time at 45 SP), the on hit requirement is easy to meet. Altho, it is inflicted on the same turn, but then we take into account her Speeeeeed. Funnily enough, this Bug (4-8) is faster than her Cinq ID (4-7), that's before you take into account each of their Haste gaining mechanics. If one-sided atks still work like in Ruina (the fastest go first) then her On Hit effects are basically guaranteed to land (unless an Evade skill says hello). She's definitely a nice ID to have, her Support Passive is also kinda nice with buffing allies. PS: Twas a nice vid to refresh my mental image of Foreman with~ Happy Valentines day to all in the FFS~

I'll say, without spoiling anything, that if you want a thematically cool fight for Canto 4 Spicebush Yi Sang is the ID to get.

About Faust? At least she better than other gacha game characters like. March 7th from Honkai Star Rail or Paimon from Genshin Impact.

I would recomend you to get atlest 1 healimg ego ( fluid sack for faust been the most recomended ) and try to gwt a big aoe ego ( blind obsession for the season pass, ebony steam, or sunshower are all good option ) will make fight like the fox way mlre manageable

I know you want to keep a pure N corp team, but maybe consider bringing somebody who applies decent bleed potency (Pequod Yi Sang being a solid candidate). Maybe replacing Don in 5-sinner fights, but later on you can bring up to 7 so you wouldn't even need to choose.

Just in case you did not know, you cannot get duplicates of E.G.O from extractions, but you can get duplicates of IDs. It's ultimately your choice, just letting you know in case you did not. Also, do you mind recommendations for IDs or EGO?

You know it's good thing you start the game late and only doing mirror dungeon now because early mirror dungeons were really boring E.G.O gifts doesn't include unique status effect like Nail (which is unique bleed) so before N corp IDs was in shamble, the whole unique stuff in the description is brand new.

Out of all Meursaults Ncorp is probably one of the worst, he can tank but thats about it...

Mursalt has the problems to have not great id but very strong ego so it can be hard to fine a place to use him. Some of his ego are some strong that one single great id may make him one of the strongest or the strongest because of regret ego and chains of other.

I don't really like Ishmael is really pre-canto 5 talk you need to be more compassionate
