I grew up on kanton island in the early 60's. Used to play on the beach catching flying fish that landed on beach all the time such fun!! Fishing was our favorite thing to do...found so much stuff on the beaches and reef. Brother was born on kanton island.
I was born on Canton. "Da Dog" at 1:35 looks like our Irish Setter "Clancy," which did not accompany us to the US when we left in the fall of 1954. My father was the CAA's (now FAA) "overseas radio operator," which today would be an Air Traffic Controller, and he also did interviews of dignitaries and VIPs during their stopovers there for the island's little AM radio station (Gary Cooper and Richard Nixon among them). @@cassidyjonson3741 Could have been. Dad and Mom used to talk about their island friends, but I was a small boy and don't remember very many of the names they used to bring up.
