So much more to say about CAPC than 3 minutes or a RU-vid comment will allow. IMO the CAPC has done poorly in promoting ES over the years. In my travels out in the world I have rarely seen an ad for eureka springs in a hotel, an airport, or on television in our circle of cities. I see ads for other travel destinations when traveling- why not eureka? I know we have beautifully produced ads - I’ve seen them but rarely. No billboards on major highways I’ve traveled across the country. Where is all that ‘promotion’? What’s really sad is it’s a matter of public knowledge they have the money- money that someone else earned and trusted them with to use in their best interests. If this cannot be accomplished after all these years then perhaps commission needs to be changed to consortium so that stakeholders have more say in how their money is being used. Perhaps a co -op process would work better.
