Absolutely the best video I have seen for basic interface understanding. Well paced, very well edited and done at a pace that the average person can stop and take notes. Operates as a well trained instructor. He does not presume that you know something ... as a video made for the general audience he is to be commended. When needed he lets one know that there are break out videos for more details to be shared. And he has no issue with saying, "I do not use this feature." No weeds here, just wheat for the mind. I would offer his video as a class on editing in general regardless of the editing app. Well done, Sir! And thank you for the effort needed to push this out; I have subscribed.
The best tutorial video for Capcut that I’ve found to date. Great format, speed and depth of subject. Your presentation manner is smooth, concise and you don’t get in your own way, unlike many RU-vidrs. Thanks for your time and effort, it’s really appreciated.
Thanks for this great tutorial. I'm editing a drama performance video with subtitles and needed to be able to move segments together with their subtitles. Your comment that you weren't sure what the Linkage On/off button did sent me in the right direction and it is indeed its function! Thanks again.
I am brand new to CapCut. Thank you for taking your time and doing a slow walk through. As a beginner you make it easy to follow along. You have a new subscriber with me. Thank you!!!
I agree with the guy below me. It's a great training video. I also use DaVinci Resolve but will use Capcut for certain projects. I love dealing with creativity and this editor surely does that! Thank you for doing such a great job!
This has definitely helped me... thinking about starting a yourube channel and this gives me an insight of what they use in their videos. Looking forward to watching more of your content!
Thank you for the video, more of a description of the program and features, not so much a tutorial on "How to" Left me with more questions than answers. Thanks
11:40 This is what differentiates you as a great content creator! I was so taken back because not everyone is able to admit when they mess up and is willing to receive criticism. Keep doing what you are doing and you'll go far!!!!
It is great that you have a chapter index but it is not as detailed as I would like. Where is speed control well under Performace but not list. I thing slowing up to illustrate where you find/click to roll out specifics would help us old folks trying to learn this from the start. It took me a while to learn how to import. Lastly suggest that you recommend that others do what I did - bookmark the video so I can rewatch it. THANK YOU. This really helped.
Thank you for the feedback! This tutorial was meant to touch on everything a little bit with future, shorter videos that would go more in-depth. Check out the rest of my channel for more of those 😃
Shane, thank you for the video! You covered each section perfectly to keep it from being too overwhelming, but gave just enough information for your viewers to feel comfortable getting started. Liked & Subscribed.
I think it's best to use two or more pictures because sometimes we miss what u are saying the eyes will be always fixed to the video. a Anyway, the lecture was great.
Amazing video!! I’ve watched a lot of CapCut tutorials and your beginner guide is leaps and bounds the best. The thing I seem to struggle with the most is editing audio, specifically when mixing and transitioning between different songs. I’d love a video specifically around the audio mixing and editing in CapCut and how to blend and transition between different song types.
Great idea for a video. Due to having a limited audio editing interface, I've actually started using Premiere Pro for more advanced edits. Capcut is great and unique in a lot of ways, but it typically lacks depth with its features. Makes sense, as it is not a robust editing software. It is targeted for the more casual user. If they improve the audio editing I will definitely be jumping on that soon!
Very very helpful. I am an absolute beginner and was really looking for something that would summarize what can be done before diving in, as I was not sure if CapCut was for me. Good work Shane, will look at the other videos & I may ask specific question later.
I've only started using Cap cut and this is exactly what I needed. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything in lay man's terms. Really well explained and shown. I will save this video for future reference.
Thanks for this very clear explanation of Capcut. I am totally new to video editing, started two days ago and downloaded DeVinci Resolve and found it really difficult so i looked around and found Capcut which does everything i need and have now uploaded two videos to RU-vid. I subscribed to your channel and look forward to more videos from you.
Hi Shane I have been using Videopad for my video editing on my channel for the past few years , have not used Capcut yet but looking forward to it , you have produced a very good quality video for the beginner , A no nonsense how to , it is very refreshing to see , I hope to see more videos from you on Capcut with some tips and tricks , keep up the great work it is appreciated . I have subscribed . Pete Western Australia
Hi Shane. Thanks for the video. Was great but you asked and so I am delivering the goods. The video was super thorough and actually one of the best beginner videos I've seen so far. I am brand spanking new to CapCut and this was exactly what I was looking for ... an explanation of all of the tools first. The only thing I would change is a better explanation of the mirror tool. You said it was one of your favorites but I have no idea why. I will now need to look up another video to see what it can do. This was also done with the microphone tool. I understand that it records audio but once you record audio, will it stay with the clip that you've recorded it to- does it link with it? Can you separate the linkage? And can you add effects to it? Make your voice deeper etc? I would have also liked to have seen some examples of what the animations looked like and how you add them. The combo ones would be for the whole clip? Or can you stretch it the length that you want? Anyway, like I said, best video I have seen so far but those were just a couple of the improvements I would make. I subscribed and am excited to see more. Thanks again bud!
Hi Ximena! Thank you for such a thorough explanation to where I could have improved. I am currently in the process of breaking down features of CapCut for PC into different videos so I will definitely add these three to the list. Thank you for taking the time to touch on these three areas. I will get right to making new videos!
Fabulous effort! You certainly earned a subscription from me. Great simplicity, clarity and pace of explanation delivered in a calm manner which is reassuring for those who are new as you made something which can look so daunting and highly technical seem so much simpler. to those who ask, "how do they do those amazing effects?" I actually don't really have much in the way of criticism. One could say that perhaps you could have researched and demonstrated some of the aspects that you did not use, such as some of the more advanced and obscure effects, but then it may be more appropriate for those to be in another video anyway, this being a video for beginners and I would imagine that you would not have wanted the video to be to long and indepth in that case.. You already mentioned about doing other videos about Capcut, so I think that you are taking the right approach in introducing Capcut to us your audience and then taking us further. over more than one video, rather than trying to give us everything at once. Many thanks.
Thank you a ton for the in-depth review. And you nailed it. I wanted to keep the details in this video dedicated to those who are who to CapCut for PC. I remember when I got started editing and feeling overwhelmed in almost every video I watched.
I am so intimidated but I am going to rewatch your video a million times. I can’t move forward with my project because I don’t know to how to edit. Thank you
Thanks for this tutorial. I only use my phone for editing because it is very easy for me. I find it complicated doing the edit in the computer but this is helpful.😊
Thank you for this video as it's by far the best video that explains this application. Keep up the great work, the pace and explanation's are just what we needed to hear if you are just starting out.
Great vid, thank you! Subscribed automatically when that feedback bit came on. Not many would do that, and colour me absolutely impressed. Looking forward to watching more of you!
I'm used to iMovie but when I upgraded from Catalina to Monterey my iMovie won't work and my MacBook pro is 2015. So I'm an absolute beginner on this app. You did a great job of clearly explaining all the icons. I'm a bit dense when it comes to remembering all of what is available, so I will watch again and again. I may have missed it but did you show us how to fade from one cut to the next for smooth transitions? I used this tool a lot in iMovie. Thanks again for your efforts for us guys and gals.
Thanks v much for your v easy to understand tutorial. Best primer I've come across starting on Capcut. It may be better to start off with a short bit about the timeline and layers for sound, text, transitions, etc. It's like showing an empty canvas and how to build on that, and thence the Main Menu items and options will mean more. 32 minutes is a bit of a rush for a Full In Depth Tutorial to cover all the menus and options. It would have been better to start that there'll be 10 videos in this FIDT, and X1 - X10 will cover everything better. This way you can do menu items and options with favouriting as well as bringing at least one down to the timeline to demonstrate its effect. The demonstration part is priceless. I've liked and subscribed.
Very good information. I wish there was some more excitement in your voice. Long educational format like this is typically boring so to help really excel maybe be more excited. Great information. Keep on building and growing
@@shanehubbardcreator no worries boss. Great information. Just giving you feedback like you asked for. I haven’t watched another video you posted since then to see if there is a difference in excitement level
Hey buddy, just sub'd as im new to capcut and found you video easy to follow and very useful, thanks buddy i'll definitely watch the other capcut vids.
Another EXCELLENT Video. New to CapCut and this really helps. One thing is you need to have PRO in order to download Captions. It's worth the $8 per month. Thanks.
This is some awesome stuff you're doing. Love from India, I bet you will do great on RU-vid pretty soon bro. Can you do a video about using overlays and where to get overlays for capcut and how to use it for pc version.
The knocking part was funny 😂. I am coming over from Camtasia Studio 7 and I'm so glad I didn't buy the latest version. Capcut blows Camtasia out of the water. Thanks!
@KeunMikeun : Hi, I used Camtasia, too. They can adjust the volume in any points we want, including gradually. But I don't see the same feature in Capcut. For example: I want the audio volume on minute 1 to minute 2 on 75%, and then gradually go down to 20% between minute 2 and minute 5. In Camtasia, we can create the points/dots on the audio track, and then move the audio "line/graphic" up and down between the dots. Can we do that in Capcut PC free version? What I see it's only reducing/increasing volume at once, for the whole audio track. Fade-in/out feature doesnt coun't since that only affect the beginning and the end of the audio track.
love your video...its very detailed...I have the latest desktop version..2.50 and I noticed that I don't have the canvas feature under basic video category...But then again I see that you are using a portrait video of yourself to show how canvas works. I am using a landscape video...Why wouldn't I see canvas on my download fro desktop on my mac? thanks. Norm
That was a fantastic tutorial. I wish I had of found this before now. You have earned a new sub 🙂 By the way, the audio in this video is really good, what sort of microphone are you using?
I’ve only ever download it to my PC. I’ve never used the web version. But I’ve heard a lot of people say that my version looks different than theirs so for all, I know there’s two versions of CapCut, one is for the web, and one is for PC.
Thank you for the great information. Can you do a dedicated video for color grading and color correction on capcut? I have problems with white balance on capcut and match the color of the footage in my 2 cameras. Also, I'm sure you've heard that before butt you look like John Krasinski 😅
You may be surprised by the number of times I am told I am Jim Halpert from Wish haha But yes, I am planning on doing more CapCut tutorials and color grading/correcting will be one of them!
Hey there! Great video! Question...I have a project with a video clip and images at the end. I want to speed up my video but not my images. How do I do this because I just can't figure it out...or if it's even possible. Another question...the version of CapCut that you are showing in this video, is it the Pro version? Thank you! Take care!
Hey, thanks for the questions! The first one, you should be able to set the speed of each video to your liking. Have you tried this step yet? Second, this is not the Pro version. But I have heard several others comment that there seems to be two versions of this app on Desktop and that they don't see what I see. Not sure why that is :(
Great video. I have a few very, very basic questions. I've now watched about two hours of how-to use Cap Cut. And no one has explained how to add a simple audio transition so that there is no jump cut. I.e., In iMovie, we just use a simple cross-dissolve video transition, and it automatically acts as a cross-fade. Also, in iMovie we don't have to keep picking up the cursor. How do we grab a photo on our timeline and move it against our frame background without having to go back and get the cursor each time? In iMovie the cursor always stays with you, and if we grab an element directly we can immediately adjust it. Plus, how do we know the length of our text effects or transitions. In iMovie, we see the length on the timeline, or by clicking on it. In Cap Cut we have to calculate it based its beginning frame and end.
Thanks for this video, it is a great starting point, but I will look at your other Desktop Tutorials to get some more how to info. I do have one question. Do you know if the Windows Store App is the same as what you download and install from the CapCut website? I noticed that my install from the website did not notify me of a recent update, and I had to download/install the new version. But I don't want to switch to the Windows Store app if it is different than what they post on their website.
Great question. I wish I knew the answer, but interestingly enough you are not alone. I've seen several comments about there being "different versions" out there. Not sure why this is :(
@@shanehubbardcreator one of the things I don’t like about using it. I know it is FREE and you get what you’re paying for, but it would be nice if they had a support site or something where the actual company replies to questions. Even if it takes a couple of days, just something.
❤ thanks for your tutorial. Could you please tell me on how to export video from capcut? My problem is, when I export my video, I got a folder not just a file of video. Thanks again for your tutorial.
Hi my name is Brittney and I just seen your tutorial before logging in to RU-vid. I have something im kinda stuck on regarding the audio voice effects. I might have the newer version of Capcut and what's going on is that if i use for example the echo effect on an audio clip the effect doesn't go on to it and i don't know why :( would you make a separate video on the topic on how to resolve the issue? :)
@@shanehubbardcreator Thanks for replying back :) To answer your question no i didnt get any notification, and last night when i separated the audio from the clip the audio effect worked :) I still would love to see a tutorial on this topic if you can.
If you watch it as a total beginer I think that it has to much things explained about settings and different kind of options ( half of them beginer doesn't know what they means at all ) and nothing about make a at least simpliest video possible.i know that you have other videos with transitions effects and other stuff , but I also think that this first one supposed to have basic things like... when you showing fonts and different styles of them for example... you could show how to use them at the timeline. Same for stickers , animation , effects etc . Video is more than 30 minutes...you explained perfectly in that time what platform has and purpose of every word you can see on monitor...but after more than 30 minutes total beginer doesn't have a clue what to do with all the things you have mentioned. I read some comments and replies. It's true that effects, animations and transitions depends from taste of user but i really expected some simple example to see . I'm not total beginer but i wanted to see from total start am I doing everything right and i didn't see anything i wanted.Actually what I expected.
Thanks for the feedback. This gives me a great idea for a follow up video that goes through an entire edit from start to finish. Truth me told, I really don’t use Capcut start to finish. I use it more like a post production editing software. Once the first cut is done I upload it to Capcut and use the powerful effects and ease of transitions and effects to finish my project. Nonetheless, thank you for for this perspective. It will help in making future videos
