I find the Avengers suit to be fascinating. Because I don’t feel like it is horribly cheesy, and yet something feels so off about it.

Just gonna lay it out there but the First Avenger costume is a personal favourite of mine but I doubt that’s a hot take

My favourite captain america suit is the AOU suit. I love the balance of blue and red on the suit. I also have to disagree with your statement regarding the red lines making the suit look busy, I find that they make the suit look more striking and detailed. I particularly like the two red lines opposite the Star, it adds layers to the design and whilst the mcu is notorious for adding unnecessary lines to their suits (cough, Spider-Man stark suit cough); I think it works in this case. My second favourite suit is the civil war suit with endgame being third.

I honestly think that all of the MCU Captain America outfits make Anthony Mackie/Chris Evans look badass

Oddly out if all the redesigns for MCU characters. The one I hate the most is Cap’s shield. It’s very subtle, but after Civil War for some reason they started putting lines on the shield, it’s not only very noticeable that it’s on the white section of the shield. But also, the MCU is already criticised for putting unnecessary lines on their costumes. So why did you have to put them on the shield of all things. It was perfect the way it was it was sleek, simple & pulled right off the page. Why did you have to put lines on it especially when they’re so easy to miss when looking at them. It’s easily my least favourite redesign in the MCU because they literally had no reason to update no matter how minor it was.

having watched this after both the flash and batman suit vids (love this series) there are two things that you value highly that surprise me. the first is cowl/mask fit, and doesn't really make sense as a criteria, considering its not really a design thing, more of a fit thing. the second is suit flexibility/movement, which is a fantastic criteria because of how important it is to how suits look on screen.

Here's an idea for a video, rank all the songs used in the guardians trilogy. I bet that would be fun.

I don't know if I'll get called crazy for saying this, but I genuinely think that the Avengers suit is a lot better than Sam's more blue costume regardless of whether we see it in motion or not. Edit: The winter soldier could be even greater if it added the white, red, and a brighter blue.

personally, if the Endgame suit looked more like Age of Ultron’s suit with the scaling AND an actual shade of red on the suit instead of Maroon. If the suit was also a brighter blue, prob would have been better

I love the endgame suit but if I could make one change I wish the white biceps from aou would come back they looked so good

Funny how the ones that fans keep wanting to call "the best ones" in the MCU are the ones I consider to be the most overrated, but then maybe I've always considered the more overly grounded and muted costume design in some modern comic book movies to be overrated in general, not helped by the fans who think that's what all comic book movie costumes should have to look like today. I still like and appreciate the 2012 suit for wanting to be a more faithful translation of his most iconic uniform, and for the most part it's much closer to how I would envision seeing that classic design brought from comics to screen. Though I will admit that maybe if they didn't try to go for the cowl and kept the helmet instead then people might have had less problem with it overall. Still, it's like they try to be faithful to his classic comic look without having to be literal spandex (which was done to look cheesy intentionally in The First Avenger) and people will still want to complain about it cause they don't want a *faithful* look for the character. Even if they had just kept the same main suit from First Avenger for the rest of the MCU I would have been fine with that, but I'm just not into the design of his Civil War/Endgame suits. I could also get by with the idea of the stealth suit in Winter Soldier being a variation worn for certain missions, but not as the definitive look for the character for me.

The Avengers suit looked great without the helmet. It’s brighter colors also make since because it was made by a super fan of cap.

How could you put the 2012 suit so low on the list?!? The colors are perfectly vibrant & The overall design is amazingly accurate! (minus certain choices) Endgame's suit is great, but its WAY too muted & doesn't even have the red gloves and boots!

the USO and avengers 2012 costume is pretty good, its just their cowls thats ugly, especially the avengers version, the cowl looks like an egghead

I don’t really care for the Sam costume. It looks too goofy because of it being comic accurate. It works for the comics, but live action just looks goofy especially them removing the fully Red Wings. I prefer his new sued a lot more because of the colours being better The only thing I don’t really like is the Goldstar. I’m hoping he gets a seat near the end of the phone but that’s not include that, but does keep the dark blue
