The story surprised me. For a moment, I thought this was one of those “prisoners in your own mind” stories. With all the Steves being different parts of Cap’s personality.
Oh yeah I totally thought the same With steve 1 representing who he was before/his compassion Steve 2 representing his fears/his weakness “Nam steve” his bravery and resilience Dog Steve his loyalty And the Wolverine Steve his guilt of his actions/violence he may have committed
This is absolutely a part of the twist. What's brilliant is that the situation is conceptually the same with the tropes inverted. I'm sure they started with the idea of the cliche then took the time to work something new out from there.
I mean he's part of the Weapon X program and he's a product of American Engineering. Shield did recruit him throughout time so it would make sense he would move up and take Fury's place.
@@thehippie3610ietnam era Captain America while Steve was still under ice. His power set was managed by red, white, and blue pills. Edit - actually I think it was during Steve's Nomad/The Captain days since he was thawed out before the Vietnam conflict.
@@thehippie3610 Nuke turns up as an adversary of Daredevil right after the Amazing Grace story cycle. A very crowded set of comics, because Black Widow makes an appearance as well as Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, and Thor.
I thought it was gonna be the different parts of Steve rogers just all split up in his mind With skinny Steve being his intelligence, big Steve being his caution, dog Steve being his loyalty, freedom Steve his determination for freedom and peace, and buff Steve being in a way the super-serum manifested as a part of his personality, the pure strength and rage that’s needed in battles
I have to admit, the voice narrating the srory is just *chefs kiss* It's the type of voice ANY MAN would love to have, and you sir remind me of Michael Clarke Duncan
@@callumjthekillerinthemirror Yes. If you pay attention it sounds disjointed. Also it "tries" to sound like Morgan Freeman. Thats one of the text-to-speech packs Elevenlabs offered.
Jesus Christ the sovereign God loves you :" ) I hope you can personally get to know the Holy Trinity, God miraculously healed me of my chronic breathing issues that plagued me if not most nights then every single night for years God did this healing instantaneously within group prayer over my health
This actually gave me more positive emotion than anything Marvel has released in a decade. Now, why Marvel can’t do this with their shows and movies is beyond reason? Oh yeah, that’s right, DISNEY destroyed Marvel!
Love this channel, hope you keep making videos. Most of the vids like this are really long and it's refreshing to hear short ones from comics like these
I never realized I needed to read a continuation of something so bad as I need for this right now lol. I love the avengers comics anyway but I had never read this one.
Medieval Steve at the end is Yeoman America from Mark Waid and George Perez's awesome run on Avengers in the late 90s. That story had medieval versions of a bunch of Avengers.
I love your narration, but I would love these videos more if you continued the storylines that you have introduced. Also, reference the title of the material so that peeps can go buy it if the love it (I know it's in the details below but an on screen mention wouldn't hurt at the end of the video. Verbal or visual) Can't wait to see more!
Could Marvel please do some stories that aren't just a multiversal cavalcade of variance to a character. Almost like where they can't do Hulk without giving him a new more powerful than ever form to explore.
