The story is taken from a comic book: Avengers Forever (2021) #8 It follows Thor, Thor - who can't lift his hammer. Thank you for watching and reading the description! Consider subscribing if you like this type of content!
Honestly? I don't think it was pain, more like preprogrammed self-preservation. If Thor continued this pace i believe that sooner or later it would be destroyed. That's why it hit back.
@@HanithSVK Love & Thunder showed some benefits to a broken Mjolnir. It can disassemble and reassemble at will, giving it a shotgun-like spread when thrown. Whip style combat is possible by connecting the pieces with lightning.
@@HanithSVK Pain is pre-programmed self preservation. If the hammer is at least a semi-sentient automata made by the gods, then it's pre-programmed response would likely be a form of pain, even if not a conscious pain like we, as conscious beings, are familiar with.
making thor a loser is fine for a story. keeping him a loser is not. in this comic this is what we see. he is a loser, but rises above through a trial.
This is a great way to view life. No matter how unworthy you may seem right now, if you work hard enough, you will be worthy to yourself. Without the need for validation from others.
I assumed the goddess Hel but now we're splitting hairs. Also yeah, Hel who rules over the realm of Hel, gj Norse religion. (Edit: See, it's okay because it's a dead religion, but at least I respect it enough to not call it mythology.)
@@fyr3st0rm35 Calling any dead religion a mythology is pretty disrespectful in its own right, because its still a religion people did indeed once worship and many current religions are influenced by religions of old.
@@cristalmewtwo4160 sure, but it's a Thor that made mjolnir a punching bag and it pussied out of the job because it's afraid of taking his punches, that's gotta be something
@@TartagliaThe_11th_McDsEmployee in kratos's defense, the blades of chaos is part of what causes his nightmares, so when he reached Midgard and started a new life, he would obviously tries to put them away. At least the blades didn't actually follow him until he needs it.
this thor at his worst was worse than the jeff bridges thor. rather than going out to fight evil, he struggled with his hammer endlessly while everything burned. if he had the heart to just go defend his home, regardless of having the hammer, he probably would have been able to lift it anyway. the jeff bridges thor has every chance for redemption just as this one did, but you're comparing a guy at his best to a guy at his worst; not really fair
Comic readers try to understand what overpowered means challenge (impossible) It's relative to the threats they have to face along with the other forces around them. If everyone is strong, no one is overpowered. It's only overpowered when someone can pull off a victory or do something that outclasses everyone else's abilities, without repercussion.
Could be worse. If Thor was a DC character, he would " wield the punch force of the universe" or "rotate the whole universe against his fist" instead of just punching 😬
You are right but this video isnt an example of this. This thor isnt op its a good story the thing you are talking about would be if idk suddenly this thor just went up stole all infinity stones and killed toaa(which is stuff that does happen somehow)
Makes me wonder what Leman Russ would do as he searches for a cure. He finds the massive World Tree in the Warp with each fruit on that tree being about the size of a planet. Imagine exploring those worlds on the tree, fighting and training during his adventures. Ingredients needed for an elixir to heal or improve the Emperor like never before.
Easy to do certain shit without other authors coming in and fucking it all up after you're done, quick one-shot, you get what you want out of it and then you can move onto the next idea.
Can we get back to the earlier classic look of Jack Kirby's image of the hammer? These days Mjölnir looks like a cinder block with a short stick for a handle.
the same reason why the current spiderman comic has an author self-insert who stockholm syndrome's Mary Jane, and the guy gets her to have babies with him in less than 3 weeks of Peter going missing. These guys are just sad pathetic neckbeards.
I never got why they made it seem like thor not being able to lift mjolnir was such a downgrade for him. Can’t he always been able to control lightning without it? Not to mention all his other powers like super strength & super durability
That's kind of how Thor gets his lightning in the myth. He's born as power incarnate and he's like a really angry and loud baby so Odin sends him to another realm to stay with the lightning keeper who's like the electric version of Surtr. These stories got all warped because christian scholars snuck in dirty stories that make the pagan gods look demonic
That is not a all what happens in any known stories... in fact most stories from the post Christianizaed write down tend to be more in line without how one picture drama between a bunch of early medieval nobility with lines up with when they are written... and are surprisingly believed to be mostly accurate to how the characters are supposed to be with Loki believed to be a composite of two characters.
So Mjolnir is just what a Tsundere to the thunderer and after he accepts himself, Mjolnir just gets overjoyed and decides to watch his growth even more.
Yeah, I see finger and wrist injuries, not to mention whole arm and shoulder trauma. A good makiwara has some give to reduce the shock. Hitting a hammer is a bad idea. Stop doing that Thor.
Microfractures and such will strengthen the bones in his hands, this is why boxers hit the heavy bag sometimes with mma gloves, leads to more durable hands.
