The way Peggy, calls for Steve at the end of that communication in hope of getting a reply from Steve is quite upsetting

This scene haunted millions of us for eight years. I’m so glad Endgame resolved this.

I like to think that she still went to that club on Saturday night, and I bet when Steve went back in time, he went to that club at 8 oclock on the dot and found her again.

To everyone saying Cap is dumb for not landing safely, you are all absolutely right. The man had no pilot training to speak of, nor any prior knowledge of the plane's mechanisms. And the plane had severely damaged systems as displayed by the control panel, giving him very little control of what he could do with it. Right. So fucking simple.

everytime at the end of this scene where she says "steve" "steve" always makes me tear up. This is such a beautiful scene

When Peggy said ‘a week next Saturday, 8 o’clock’. He probably remembered that conversation and that’s when he came back.

He finally got that dance...he deserved it more than most.

That "Steve" line and "I am with you till the end of the line" from Winter Soldier make me really love Captain America movies!

They haven't made a bad Captain America film yet. They always pull at your heart strings and that to me is why his films are the best.

The Avengers: Endgame just proved that love knows no boundaries-not even time. *salutes and sheds a tear*

This scene moved me quite a bit. Something I did not expect when I first saw the film. I prefer Steve and Peggy over Tony and Pepper.

I just wanna say that they finally get that dance and I actually feel happy for them

The line in this scene that really stuck out to me and moved me as Cap being a true hero was, "This is my choice." As if he was not wanting Peggy to feel responsible for his death, or anyone else for that matter. That it was his own heart telling him that is what needed to be done.

This scene combined with the scene at the end of Agent Carter Season 1 and the scene where they reunite in Cap 2 is really fucking soul-crushing.

2:25 the moment when Colonel Phillips realizes Cap was meant to have been injected with the serum and become America’s greatest soldier.

Who is here after watching Avengers: Endgame !!!

Captain America is what America should have stood for ,honor, respect, looking out for the little guys, and sacrifice.

She's gone. In her sleep. I never recovered the rest of the movie....

God, grant me the gift of being strong enough to make a sacrifice like Cap and blessed enough to have someone miss me as much as Peggy.

The reasons why Steve crashed the plane were... 1. He didn't know how to steer the plane 2. The plane was stacked with explosives 3. The plane was on autopilot, heading for New York

I sure hope that Cap uses the time gem in some capacity to travel back to World War 2 to be with Peggy at the end of Infinity War Part 2.

I dare you guys to watch Captain America 1 and 2 back to back without tearing up. Just wait til you hear the line Steve Rogers says to *SPOILER ALERT* Old Peggy "I can't leave my best girl, not when she owes me a dance"

Even though he was 82 years late, Steve kept his promise and had his dance with Peggy. One of the finest moments in cinema history, never mind Marvels

I think this is the only Marvel Movie where I break down in tears. This scene hits me, no matter how many times I watch this. I seriously bought the romance between Cap ang Peggy, and when this Plane Crash scene happens. Its so sad so great execution in this scene

I love the little detail that the Colonel instantly realizes what Cap is going to have to do, and silently orders the other man out to give Peggy privacy

Colonel Phillips was sad as Peggy was when the communications channel got broken when Captain America hit the ice. He felt like not only he lost a good soldier but he felt like he lost a son.

I am hoping when Endgame bluray comes out, Marvel would add a 10 minute clip of extras of Steve returning the stones and go back to the 40s reuniting with Peggy.

I don't get why people hate this movie

In my opinion this is the sadness scene in cinematic history. Having to live without each other, that's the worst hell I can imagine. It breaks my heart every time I watch this movie. Probably because Steve and Peggy were my favourite Marvel ship.

Maybe the most underrated MCU movie in my opinion

How about Tommy Lee Jones masterclass act, he knew to leave them alone, the guy's a legend.

I cry every time I see this

I feel so bad for Captain America, he lost his love since she grew to like 90 years old. He doesn't know what went on for all this time

Like how every Captain America movie has a sad scene in it. In the first avenger it was the plane crash, in the winter soldier it was the helicarriers crashing, in civil war it was the letter.

You can tell how cap feels afraid, knowing he won't come back from this, talking about the dance and having Peggy talk to him as he tries to ease off the idea knowing that his not going to come back from this especially right at the very end

Cap finally got that dance.

Out of all the MCU movies including endgame, this was the only one that made me cry, a freaking 36 (well at the time 25) year old dude. Iron man dying came close but not like I was balling here.

It warms my heart to know that cap wasn’t late for that date after all

The look that Colonel Phillips gives when seeing Peggy is the same as a father realizing his daughter is in love and such. But also, gives the look of sadness that a father gives when someone close to the family is about to pass away :(.

While _Captain America: The Winter Soldier_ had a more complex plot and more creative action scenes than _Captain America: The First Avenger_ did, I might belong in the minority that prefers _The First Avenger_, because it felt more emotionally engaging to me.

I watched this back when I was 11 and it broke my heart.... Imagine how happy my nostalgic nerd heart felt during end games ending.

That "Steve, Steve" at the end always tears me up.

At the end of Captain America: Winter Soldier, there was a deleted scene of Peggy that was supposed to be shown after the credits. Instead, they showed Bucky at the Smithsonian. In the scene, Peggy was on a cruise ship. Late at night when most people on the ship were asleep, Peggy, wearing a white night gown with her gray hair flowing in the wind, walked to the back of the ship. She held a necklace in her hand and looked at it for a moment and then threw it into the ocean. The big jewel in the necklace had a glow to it. It's believed to be an Infinity Gem. Peggy is then seen laying in her bed. It appears she may have died in her sleep. You then see B&W images of the battles of WWII. You then see a young Peggy walking into the bar from the first Captain America film. The bar is filled with deceased soldiers including Colonel Phillips (Tommy Lee Jones) and Captain America's squad The Howling Commandos. Everyone is drinking, laughing and having a good time. Peggy approaches a large staircase. At the top of the staircase is a young Steve Rogers. He turns around and smiles at her. Peggy walks up the stairs to be with him. They look into each others eyes, smile and kiss. All of the people are looking at them and applauding. 

One of the Best Trilogy Ever

Hayley Atwell is the best actress of MCU and you know it! No other actress in MCU act like her!

This man sacrificed himself to save the world, woke up in the far future, fought through armies of men and aliens, and some of the most powerful warriors of the universe, gained the power of a freaking god, and found a way to make it back to his girl in the past. Freaking respect.

A hero dies; a leader rises.

Having to know the feeling that you're about to die you can tell from Steve's face that he wanted someone there to talk to him during his final moments.

This of how you know captain America is the goat...he sacrificed his life and put it at risk to save thousands of lives...but he still lives

Finally, Captain got his dance.

Who knew it, a Marvel movie can make me cry more than Titanic and Marley and Me D': Great movie. I actually think it was kinda a good idea to freeze him so later on he's there in The Avengers and it means they can make loads more awesome movies.

ENDGAME SPOILER!! I’m so happy for Steve I believe that the dance at the end of the movie symbolizes that the war was over for Steve and he finally got to have the dance with Peggy. He belonged in the 40s but found himself in the present and he always talked about letting go but he could never let go of her. It was that ending scene that really made me tear up because i thought he was never going to dance with Peggy and to see it in theaters was a tear jerker
