@@100merijung Took on an elevator full of men, defeated all of them, jumped out the elevator down 75 feet, shook it off, then proceeded to fight and destroy a fighter jet. He has to be the most epic hero in the MCU
I just have to say that one of my favorite creative decisions about the Winter Soldier is that you don't really see him doing any running when he's going after people. Gives him a very predatory vibe. Very effective!
Exactly! It takes a talented actor to elicit so many feelings in the audience while wearing a mask and goggles. His strut down the highway elicits terror. He body movements remind me of Terminator or Jason Voorhees. That purposeful steady movement gives you the feel that he will never stop until he has you and that it isnt even work for him.
@@cybercat29 Lots of practice. He talks in this video about how he walked around with a plastic knife practicing all the time. He used the trick again the the latest show The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
@@gabriellemartineau4900 bruh cap had thors power in endgame even without mjolnir u also saw him summon stormbreaker cause again he had thors powers when thor lost his powers it was gone but he became worthy so mjolnir and his powers called to him and it stuck with him throwout mcu and cap has all that power as well because just like with thor he got the power of thor, when odin made the enchantment he made it pretty clear that whoever got it would wield thors power and cap did so cap could also shoot lightning bolts
@@BenAri18 once u are worthy you can summon both storm breaker and mjolnir with concentration to quote "Whosoever holds this hammer, if they be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor" no this barley applies to stormbreaker because it does not have the enchantment whatsoever so its possible that that was a continity error.
Still my favorite Marvel movie. I'm a little biased as I'm from Cleveland, but also because this is the movie where everyone realizes Black Widow could hold her own movie.
This pretty much a film about Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanov. Not as much about Captain America and black widow. Or even about the Avengers. Hmm, a Black Widow movie would be very dark and very violent. I wonder if Clint will be in it or if it will take place before she met him. It would be good to see the roots of that friendship. She has an arrow necklace. A token of their friendship, perhaps?
the score is great in this movie. No tunes for the folks to sing in shower, but a proper sound escort, that makes the atmosphere and perfectly frames the movie.
Apparently that metallic shrieking noise is actually Bucky's scream as he falls from the first movie, twisted in a computer. Which makes it even more unsettling.
Seriously give Sebastian Stan more action roles please. His Winter Soldier is completely badass and intense. He was a major shot in the arm for this franchise.
most people in films *runs entire length of falling train* Bucky the most sensible fictional character i can think of *takes one step to the side and is completely fine
I was so happy when I saw the winter soldier purely for that reason, the amount of times I've been watching a movie and when people are running away they're always running down the length of something and they don't just go to the side it ends up making me legitimately angry cos I'm like bloody idiots just take like 5 steps to the fricken side
All the other movies BTS: ooh look at this awesome set and yeah i guess the fight choreography is cool too Winter Soldier BTS: literally all about the fighting in the beginning and nothing else
I want more hand to hand combat. I have always loved fight scenes. Fighting is like dancing. I think it can be very beautiful, and it was in this film.
What makes The Winter Soldier movie different is it is a political thriller. Unlike other superhero movies which has science fiction and fantasy this movie is realistic with raw action . It is more like a Jason Bourne , James Bond movie with a few superheroes.
To be fair, i would think bc he was no longer under Hydra's control and programming, rather than weak, he's just not a ruthless assassin... but that's just me haha
Well even in Civil War they made him weaker to fight black panther, even when he was under Hyrda’s control I’m not trying to hate on anyone just my opinion, feel free to prove me wrong though.
Its because when Bucky is brainwashed he's a cold blooded heartless assassin but when he's not brainwashed he's just a cool gentle traumatised guy who needs a break fron all this...poor Bucky
Sometimes I hate the world & people. But then I look at videos like this and it brings me hope again. Look at the art that humans can create by using their mind and their time. It's so amazing. People are awesome sometimes
Definitely my favorite MCU movie, and probably the best MCU movie in terms of fight choreo. There's no fancy special effects with lasers or powers or lightning bolts, it's pure hand-to-hand, genuine fighting. I love how much darker and grittier this movie was compared to most other MCU movies.
My biggest pet peeve is that I can tell who the stunt double is for Sebastian Stan in certain scenes. Edit: The final fight between Bucky and Steve now that I like because it was the actors. Love the part where he throws his shield and Bucky blocks it and they do that little dance. I will admit that when Bucky's metal arm comes in contract with Steve's shield, DAMN! That sounds like a massive bell!
@@alinersssssI know right! If they would have done it the way they did it for Scarlett Johansson and her stunt double Heidi Moneymaker. I wouldn't even be able to tell. But alas I could tell even with the mask on, forehead, hair, hands, and body. When it was the stunt double. It's painfully obvious in the highway fight scene.
@@geling101 Yh, it’s pretty clear when it’s his stunt double, but the choreography is incredible. His stunt double has a narrower and longer face, and you can still make it out with the hair. Think they thought the hair would cover it up, but it’s clear in some scenes. Same with Black Widow to be honest, her stunt double has a slightly bigger body, so you can notice it.
IMO, I think Winter Soldier has some of the most emotionally intense fighting sequences. The fight sequences aren't always about the fight. There's honor, ego, worry, desperation, love, hate, confusion....entangled in a story about people, heroes, politics, and pawns. But I think it's why this movie resonates with me.
now i wanna rewatch all the Cap movies, TWS especially was such a great film for so many reasons, its amazing seeing how much work went into the creation of these masterpieces
Best movie from Iron Man: Iron Man 1 Best movie from Thor: Thor Ragnarok Best movie from Captain America: CA: Winter Soldier Best movie from Guardians of the Galaxy: GotG Vol. 1 Best movie from Antman: Antman and the Wasp. Best movie from Avengers: Avengers Infinity War.
@@OnlyTimefps9 Best movie from Thor: Thor... Thor Ragnarok was just a lame comedy movie. Almost everything turned into comedy. To me, Thor 2 and Thor 3 are battling eachother to be the worst from the trilogy.
@@Ps3rikbr68lolll the first thor movie was umm nice but the dark world was very boring , he is the god of thunder they could have done better. Chris himself said that he got bored with the character.
Seeing this makes me really appreciate action scenes in movies. The way they think through all these moments is incredible and it makes me want to watch the movie again just to appreciate all the effort they put into it.
One thing I just realize why I love this movie : most of the main character, both from protagonist and antagonist, they have proportional screentime and purpose. Like no one in this movie is useless, even some that only had short screentime really deliver the chance that is given to drive the overall narrative. Cap, Nat, Bucky, Sam, Pierce, Fury, Hill, Peggy, Zola, Batroc, Rumlow, Sharon/Agent 13, They all played it smoothly
5:57 is the moment I fell in love with The Winter Soldier 😍 (I didn't even know he was Bucky then haha) he is just so badass and Seb is just spectacular! Chris's bkue stealth suit 😍👌
The Winter Soldier was hands down the best mcu movie, it had a perfect balance between the humor and action lot of mcu films nowadays got too much humor and like minor fight scenes but this movie was otherworldly
so i googled it, and the highway fight scene actually was awarded best fight scene of the YEAR. also, i love the fact that the guy was using toy cars as little models for how things would play out. that part made me laugh. Winter Soldier is actually one of my favourite marvel movies, not only because of the amazing combat but the humor and the characters. Thank you marvel for some of the best movies and comics i'll ever see. nothing compares to your abilities and production!
This movie was my overall favourite of all the Avenger movies. That fight scene on the freeway between Captain America and the Winter Soldier was breath-stopping as was the car chase with Samuel Jackson. I had to remind myself to breathe during all of the fight scenes. Truly epic in my opinion.
Even after years of many marvel films and after I rewatched them all (except eternals) this is my favorite captain America movie. The winter soldier is so epic
still my favorite mcu movie. from the objectives of the directors and producers, the efforts of all the teams in order to execute the plans, and to the trainings of the actors and the stunt doubles. also the message it wants to convey. god, everything about this movie is amazing.
They have a rubber shield for fight scenes, I think a metal one for just holding and then the throwing shield is cgi so Chris is basically just swinging his arm
