They really screwed up this character, I mean the poor Injustice captain phasma received

When Phasma was first announced, I thought immediately: "Jedi Killer." Why not? Tall, intimidating with new armor, a specialized looking blaster, and a cape. Plus being played by Brienne of fucking Tarth herself, I seriously thought that was her role. Someone to hunt our heroes relentless until she was finally put down. As such, I was more than disappointed with how she was depicted, or rather lack of. She was a character with great potential spoiled by politics and lousy writing. Hell, T8TR effectively took her place in that regard... fools.

I like their choice of actor, but I don't like their reason for it

She is amazing and shows true power. I also love their choice of actor, but they put a waste to her! C'mon Disney we all know you could do better than 3...) Phasma is a powerful character and could make the Starwars fandom, Disney Franchise, and just fans&lovers more happy with the character.

Could have been the Brienne of star wars, such a talanted actress that could have made an amazing villain, reduced to shouting a few commands and a death more dishonorable than Boba Fett

It's sad that captain phasma dont had any memorable moments and felt like a normal side character not like bobafett.. her death also seem stupid and her don't do anything major in any movies..

Honestly what do you expect there are too many characters to cram into these movies. If they wanted to give her more screen time then hint they should have gotten ride of a couple of unnecessary characters. For example, getting rid of rose and maybe even Poe could have given a better story line of Fin and his conflict of being an Ex storm trooper who had to go against Captain Phasma at the end. Star Wars is about family and Fins story could have been about freeing his storm trooper family.

I love Phasma and honestly the potential for her was astronomical. Sadly she was a wasted character. However her lack of screen time also gives us so much and proves how great a character she is. Phasma is a survivor, she will do what she must to ensure her survival.

Phasma is maybe the most overrated character in all of the Star Wars films 🙂

She was so pointless

WASTED character that was virtually a diversity hire. What they should have done: Had her be something of a boss to Finn. When Finn picks up the lightsaber, she's the one who fights him and then she kicks his ass. Then they meet again at that star killer base, and she kicks his ass again. Then in the last Jedi, Finn wins (you see him train, then struggle, then finally rise over his superior). This way Phasma is established as a bad ass, a strong fighter instead of this weak rat that would sell out her own army to save her skin; plus it gives Finn a strong arc of growth of how he overcomes this strong bad ass. The Phasma Vs Finn encounters we got in the movie feel kind of weak. Like Finn gets a lucky shot or two against a fighter that's vastly more experienced/stronger than him, but Finn wins anyway with his lucky shots. It didn't really matter if woman or man played Captain Phasma, I like the character but in the end Phasma became a mediocre movie villain who really only stood around, spoke few times and shoot couple blast or did some combat with Finn that beat her with the power of friendship? I mean they should left Phasma a mystery until the second movie then Finn break her helmet and then realize Phasma was woman would made more sense mainly because not many high ranking Imperial Officers are female.. they should have treated Phasma like Samus from Metroid, they need to do proper Metroid movie with Gwendoline Christie playing Samus.

As Captain Phasma had such a small role in TFA they should've kept Phasma's appearance until The Last Jedi and only mentioned her in The Force Awakens. That would've stirred up speculation about who Captain Phasma was and it would be something extra for fans to look forward to in episode 8. Have to say though, the Phasma comic is very good and shows her as a badass. A must read. Also i haven't read the Phasma book but I heard that is also very good.

While Rey is commonly thought to be overpowered Captain Phasma is totally UNDERPOWERED ! She exists only to be ungloriously beaten up.

She may not be the first female stormtrooper but, she maybe the first female stormtrooper to lead an army of the First Order stormtroopers under her level.

The design is cool.

I think the costume concept is good, but the execution is bad. Compare her performance with Boba Fett, who's costume fit him much better, and you can see that Phasma moved extremely stiff like it took 45 minutes to put on the armor, while Boba Fett looked like he could shoot anyone at a moment's notice. I mean, they basically have the same exact role, except for Phasma being ruined at the end for giving up so easily. Hopefully, her giving up so easily WON'T be covered up in the next movie with some excuse. That's been a mark of the Star Wars franchise for decades...covering up mistakes through flawed logic (Kessel Run in Parsecs b.s.)

Phasma has one of my favourite character designs of the series, and what we saw in the movie doesn't exactly turn me off at all. It's simply the amount we saw. I won't lie, I genuinely thought she was going to set off the alarm when she was lowering the shields, but I can overlook that. I think every other of her 91 seconds of screen time was great, I really can't wait to see what they do with her now, knowing that fans love the character. Between Kylo Ren and Phasma, I think the sequel trilogy has some great antagonists going for it.

Brienne of TARRRTH Ugh loved this character for the few seconds of screentime she had.

The extended, un-cut, scene of Phasma vs Finn in TLJ gives both of them much needed screen time and a better sense of closure for her character. It might be a minor role, but Phasma has impact which I think is great in the movies.

That was just Katty pushing her feminine agenda and it was her who started the idea of not enough females being in the movie. so marketing built up the hype for captain nobody. Then TFA comes out n the character did nothing, then TLJ comes and guess what the character does nothing. It was as waste even with the poor plot of both movies you could cut her out and there would be no effect to the plot.
