Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons 1x14 First Time Watching Reaction & Review 

PS: Model Spy is kind of a breaking the fourth wall as Andre isn't model, he's the owner of French fashion house who is also a spy. Model is clearly referencing him being a puppet.

Ha ! I loved this episode because it was so crazy . I mean you’re right as a kid how many action tv shows were about fashion models?

Another great reaction Alexa. If you ever give Thunderbirds another chance, I know a few episodes that might have your interests. For example: Atlantic Inferno and Alias Mr. Hackenbacker. 😉 Oh and Chris Dale, if you’re watching this… Could I have some ice? 😁

One thing I don’t get about this episode is - what happened to Gabrielle after her last moment on screen? You’d think from that that she would’ve been taken into custody by Spectrum personnel to be examined, so they can learn more about the Mysterons. But she’s never seen again in any future episodes.

I get that Symphony and Destiny are the more common leaders of the group but I can't work out why they didn't choose Rhapsody Angel for this one, before being an Angel she was a Spy, trained by none other than Lady Penelope. This type of mission would be right up her street.

This is episode and The Trap was obviously done at the same time as some of the music from this episode is heard in *The Trap* 1. The two model being reconstructed by the Mysteron/XQR being reconstructed by the Mysteron. 2. The smoke pouring out of the engine room/ Scarlet and Symphony being locked in the dungeon. Speak of Symphony, this is the episode where she gets her hair shorten. But due some of episodes being aired differently some future episodes will have her with her hairs being long again.

With your fondness for Submarines, hopefully one day you'll get to see Gerry Anderson's 'Stingray'. Personally I'd love to see a live action version of this underwater adventure, for it's one of my favourites from my childhood, even though it was made three years before I was born. There are times in your life when you're happy that TV channels show repeats.

Well, the Mysterons great power of 'retrometabolism' is reconstructing objects and people so it makes sense they can reverse the process essentially transporting/teleporting their agents around and out of capture.

This builds on story elements from episodes of Thunderbirds. Recycling concepts by Century 21 / AP and crossovers between series in the comics, give a cohesive universe, almost like the MCU.

The model Gabrielle is the only Mysteron agent taken alive in the show. One wonders what they did with her. Did they ever manage to restore her like Captain Scarlet? It's rather chivalrous of the writers not to kill off the lady baddies. As for Captain Black escaping with Helga, that has inspired a few fan fiction stories!

It is a shame you watched a Christmas special episode of Thunderbirds which was not a typical episode. There is one were they have to rescue a speeding monorail train. Plus for the glamour they have Lady Penelope!!

Here's a crazy idea, Alexa, you could contact RU-vidrs like Rachel Maksy, Abby Cox, Nicole Rudolph who do costumes and cos-plays about re-creating Angel costumes. I think they might love the idea. (Or Blake's 7.)

I'll be honest. I hated this episode. I never understood why, when the Mysterious tried to kill Verdain by blowing up his boat, suddenly they decide they need him alive, and then threw him out of the window of the car without killing him first.

This episode was unnerving.
