hell being the first and latest to actually take on a WORLD ending threat, instead of simple spec-ops kinda proves how reliable 8 is, also the fact 8 can beat 3 in a fight (inner 3 is implied to be a flashback, one that explains why so many octolings got away instead of pushed back by 3, Callie and Marie)

Wow! Agent 8 went all out beating After Alterna in the most toughest way possible. Captain’s face in the end is a clear sign that 8 is a keeper for her. Also, I chuckled at how Captain treated Agent 4 like a little kid by giving her the most easiest mission. This made my night, thanks Yume. 💚

@@georgiagalaxy doubt it since the Splatoon Characters can't Canonically meet Humans due to us wiping ourselves off the planet with Patriotic Power (aka NUKES TO THE ICEBERGS) If Nintendo wants to have a Villain that's Human and not just a Remnant of the Humans, they'll want to be ready to contradict themselves

I still think 4’s skill level is super overlooked. Are they as skilled as 3 or 8 with a Hero/Octo Shot? No, but I’d still put their overall skill level at that of 3 after the events of Octo Valley at the very least thanks to the fact they have at least a decent amount of skill and experience with each of the 9 Splatoon 2 weapon classes.

Agent 8 is just so darn impressive, I could never beat After Alterna with those conditions. And poor Agent 4, she could do it too if she tried (quite unlikely but hey, a squid can dream! Assuming each section would take about a minute to complete, the fact that Agent 8 has the power and drive to singlehandedly obliterate an army of fuzzy octolings *without* using bombs, specials, or swimming (while the fuzzies do use those) in at least a 60-second time frame is nothing short of a regular Sunday afternoon for them.

I'm kinda curious how possible the challenge presented for 8 is. I think there might be a grate in the rail section you need to swim form through? Aside from that the hard part of the restriction is kinda the time limit (just because it means that you can't retry form checkpoints very many times without needing to restart from the beginning anyway)

I think the reason Octo expansion was so hard while the Campaign of Splatoon 3 wasn't as hard. Was cause the Octo expansion was a DLC and Nintendo assumes you as the player are experienced with the game. IE. you beat the Splatoon 2 campaign or you have played several matches of ranked or turf war. Splatoon 3's base campaign has to work under the assumption this might be a player's first time. So the devs can't make it to hard in case a new player dives in

There’s an anime (don’t remember the name) set in a prison where there’s a running gag about the super tough femme fetal warden secretly simping for one of the guards. Yeah, Captain 3 is the warden and Agent 8 is the guard. Edit: The anime is apparently called Nanbaka

A quick in game fact; 4 is actually partially right, considering multiple walls where you do need to squid search or swim across in After Alterna! So it wouldn't be able to be completed without swim form (Nor without shooting ink because of the octolings at the end stage,) but this isn't a bad thing, I like to think that 8 just hacked in a moving platform and floated to each goal. 🤣

The funny thing is: 8 isn't even technically an actual agent of the New Squidbeak Splatoon. She just got that nickname cause she had no memory and Cuttlefish needed something to call her. She's driven not by duty, but by love.
