I had given up hope that I could help, but then I was given the opportunity by Aberdabei Films to participate in this two episode documentary on the huge problem I experience with fake profiles on social media abusing my name and photos.
By participating in this documentary, I hope I can:
- Help create awareness and prevent people from sending money to scammers.
- Make politicians realise that this is an enormous social problem that needs increased legislation and help to the victims, who are often too afraid and ashamed to step forward.
- Push all social media to take trustworthy actions to prevent it!
