Amazing video! Poor Edie, what a day. Remarkable to see her hovering like that in mid air! Very courageous women from CROW. Thanks for putting this together and uploading!
Thank you, Ondabebe❤ Not being able to watch as much as I'd like, I would have never know this occurred with my beloved Edie, Jack and babies - had it not been for you❣ Thank you so much🕊🙏🏼😇❤
@Ondabebe I know that. I was wondering why they had to reach in and grab the eaglets and fishing line. I've seen other Eagle rescues where you see the people. It seemed that the CROW workers did not want to be on camera. No big deal.
This is the answer I got on what it is. It is the lightning deterrent that was broken away from the pole by one of the female Osprey in flight. It will be fixed when the Maintenace trip comes about.
I'm always amazed at osprey chicks and how they automatically pancake at the first sound/sight of danger and stay perfectly still whilst almost blending in with the nest ❤ also heard there was a huge hook on the fishing line, so glad it was successfully removed.
what is the object on the left side of the screen it keeps swinging back in and tapping the camera? plus that repeating sound is so loud wow very happy to see the fishing line was removed.

Every time I've watched over the past few days, when the parents bring food, the larger (older?) chick attacks the smaller one to keep it from getting food, causing the smaller chick to turn away and bury its head to avoid being attacked. Then the parents feed only the bigger, aggressive chick, rewarding its behavior. Can't these parent birds see the smaller chick is going to die by not being fed?
Sibling rivalry and dominance are common on many nests and hard to watch at times. Parents feed whoever beak is there and do not choose. Being that C07 is the dominant one it gets fed first and C08 must wait. Last night both were fed well with huge crops
