It was the first concerto(in F major) in my life 37 years ago... At this time it was my ultimate dream to play this music. I didn't change, but I've change the key... Thanks for your nice comments. Courage!

Hi Emma, It was also my first concerto in the past. By the way - even if it's very old music, it's well written for the double bass (Capuzzi was the violinist !). I became a professional musician because of this music. Enjoy !

Yes, it is actually a French double bass bow (made in Canada). Personally I'm a double bass polyglot - there is no double bass that I would not be able to play on. I play on the same level with 4 types of double bass bow : French, German, Italian and baroque. If you ask me which one is the best, I will answer - each of them has its own advantages. Currently I use pizzicato in jazz very intensively (full time university jazz program).

The 1st mvt he studied about 4 months and the 3rd mit about 2 months .The 1st mvt he played in a little recital from his music school, the 3rd mvt he played in a recital during a double Bass workshop.
