Come with me as I show you around my most recent car camping trip. I go over the best beginner camping gear I bring on my camping trips, and also things I tend to forget to bring on my camping trip. Review my tent and tell whether I think its the best tent for beginners. Explore my hiking bag and what hiking gear I keep in there at all times. And where we use the bathroom and shower on our car camping adventures.

If you get two collapsible buckets you can limit how much water you need to bathe. Put cold water in both then enough boiling water to get them the temperature you want. You only need enough wash water to keep your soap wet. Then use your rinse bucket to sponge off. This works much better with kids too because you have more time.

Good info!! Yea the camping shower definitely doesn’t last long enough in my opinion

@@richardbforaging6060 Yikes! When you are all soaped up and that 25¢ of warm water runs out!!! You scramble to find your last quarter and pray it lasts long enough to get all the shampoo out of your hair and 👁️👁️! 😁

Use a rug in front of your tent, will help keep the dirt out.

Tho you still need a broom of course, putting a rug or something in front of your tent will really cut down on the dirt you will take into your tent with you. Too bad your tent leaks. It looks to be a good size, and height. Yeah, keep things away from the material, touching it is what makes it leak. It can help to put up a tarp over it too. Keep those tent poles if you get rid of the tent. You can use them for other things ;) Stay safe!

I've been camping for most of my life. The one bit of advice I can give about your tent is this: If you bought your tent at Walmart or some other Amazon equivalent, then your tent is nothing more than a glorified bug screen. It will get wet if it rains...I don't care if you're spraying whatever on it. I'm sure some people may have anecdotal stories about how they sprayed some miracle crap on it and it never leaked, and I don't care. Get yourself a lightweight tarp to cover your tent and having some length to put an awning over the tent door. Don't purchase a heavy-duty tarp. That puts too much weight on the tent and it squashes the tent down slightly enough that the door won't zipper properly. I cannot begin to count as to how many times I have been in a tent for the biggest thunderstorms and if properly tarped, sit back and enjoy the music. Make sure your tarp is spread evenly to prevent pooling. If your tent is large enough, sleep on a cot or air mattress...anything to get you off the ground. I will tell you from experience, if you are sleeping on the ground in a tent and a puddle leaks in....your entire sleeping bag will wick that shit up like nobody's business. You'll end up waking up in a very moist sleeping bag.

That "moisture wicking" that you mentioned may be condensation. Caused by having a tent without enough ventilation. The moisture is building up from your breathing i the tent all night. Might be solves by venting the tent, cracking the. windows a bit.
