so my passenger door wouldn't open from the inside so I have replaced the main unit and door release cable needed and remedied the problem. any questions feel free to ask
You will be able to do it without removing the lock. There just isn't very much space and is definitely a lot easier if you do remove it but you should be able to get in there anyway
Just fixed this on the wifes corsa, only snag was when crimping the hook its so soft it snapped😂, fixed it with electrical connector. Thanks for the video.🎉
I've just had to replace corsa D passenger door release cable due to the cable snapping where the hook is crimped to the cable. This video was really helpful. If you are just replacing the cable you don't need to push/disconnect the outer door hand rod and white plastic retainer to completely remove the lock. Just remove the three bolts holding the lock to the door and the electrical connecter. This should allow you to swing the lock out slightly inside the door panel and give you enough room to remove the broken cable and insert the new one. I suggest when inserting the new cable put the entire cable inside the door cavity so it's relativity straight which will make it easier to insert the cable end shaped like an L into the lock lever and then snap in. Re attach the electrical connector and lock using the 3 bolts and then the cable hook to the inner door handle as in the video.
Hi there im looking for some advise please, my daughter has a 2011 vauxhall corsa D the issue she has is the passenger door wont lock via keyfob or key, the driver and boot doors work as they should, When you press the door lock on the dashboard the driver and boot lock but not the passenger door, do you have any idea what might be at fault? I can't say iv ever looked at the back doors but I imagine it will be the exact same concept. Does it not open inside or out? As it's two different parts of the mechanism so usually one side will open up
There is 2 different cables to the lock. One going to the outside and one to the in. It's rare that the door won't open from atleast one side (in/ out).
