They have dent pullers that will thread in to the areas you drill with a hammer slide. This way you can concentrate on reversing how it occurred. Then fill and blend nicely. Old School
@@b1iss890Welding 15 washers on a door and run a rod thru it so you can pry a dent out it the definition of ignorance. Nothing skillful about this 😂 he literally fucked the door up more
@@agungmarpaung6366 Interesting question. Student to student ... Operationally as in motor and drive train I don't think so. The repair change was focused only on the surface skin of the door. Whether or not the interior structure of the door was damaged in the accident prior ... is possible .. no way to tell from the footage. Would the pulling the skin out do damage to that interior structure? Unknown ... it certainly could pop a weld since the dent puller is not a gradual applied force but a jarring impact. What do you think?
Most of these people criticizing in here don’t even understand autobody dent repair work on hard bodied lines or even own cars then there’s the ones who are in this field just complaining about the bubble and how they would’ve done it 😂
It's not a tool for those asking. Its 30 flat washers welded to a door, a piece of round bar, part of a shackle, and a homemade slide puller. There's better ways than this.
Price maybe? My rear doors cost about $1k if i could have a body shop fix a dent, an get it painted at even 3/4s of the price thats still saving 250. Sometimes insurance doesn’t wanna shell out more than they feel they have to aswell.
You have a good eye because I also noticed the high spot he created at the end. Spent 40 years in the business don't ever wanna work on another car again lol
@@509shaggy still a big waste of materials right? Replacing a door is at $2000-3000, repainting a door is about $300-400. Only requires a skilled worker.
@RB Zhang lmfao you say it costs 3 to 4 grand to replace a door not true and for 2 that would be through a shop then u say it only costs 400 to take the dent out and repaint but don't add the cost of labor assuming both people do the labor themselves just unbolting a few bolts lining them up plugging in the electronics and then replacing the locks is way easier and cheaper a door is like 70 bucks at pull and save
@john smith because the cost of the door,R&R, edging R &I door guts and seals and fitting are way more expensive than repairing a square foot bondo , prime and paint
I had damage on my truck door similar to this. The repair shop didn't pull the dent, they slapped some putty on it and painted, the putty broke out a few months later. I like this guys effort.
La tremenda" costilla" que se le hizo ala puerta cuando la "baje " con el martillo conque cres que va atapar las marcas ?? Y las lineas por fuerza va a tener que esmerilar y aplicar pasta o masilla....sigue aplaudiendo.
There is a tool for this it uses copper pins and welds them and then a tool just like he’s using but a different tip and he used way too many washers 😂
I love the hustle! Highly Skilled hands great to see theres still beaters around! Knock that high spot down and give it a Skim! Carpal tunnel socks great work mate
Im in the industry, its smart, but its alot of work. Then he has to grind them off. I replace the whole door in 5 minutes. As a customer it could possibly cost you less to bring me your than this guy
As long as it's clean inside and you heat up a few spots red hot about the size of a quarter then apply a saturated cloth of water... you can take any wobble in the panel. ❤
That seems like a lot for a dent. When you can replace the whole damn door, would seem easier than welding all those rings on there…. I mean… you do you… ✌️
@@ericmcdonald88 Yeah, some cars but, that looked like a newer car. What the hell do I know, I’m more of a, 69’ Nova man myself or a GTO. Anything muscle, anything American… Maybe 44✌️….
I think he really knows what he's doing , its on the edge of door no way to repair easily. Must be the most economical method and fast. The top part can be pushed back in, that some said for dented from repair, that's easy to do
No dicen que en Estados Unidos botan su auto con un solo simple choque y se compran uno nuevo. Si entran a la página de copart ahí encontrarán esos carros de remate
