Great tip using the Aqua gloss Paul and the finish is spot on. This is definitely one of the very best video build series on You Tube, hands down, by far! Keep them coming as I'm sure many modellers are feeling totally inspired to at least try to build something and with this series I'm sure that they'll finish what that start with pride. 😉👍

Hi! about the clear red, I found the one from Gunze to look more rubi than the Tamiya that look more like Blood, depends on what you are looking for but I like more the shade from Gunze. Cheers!

Loving your tutorials, very informative. I’m subscribing as the knowledge gained is invaluable. I will also be checking out your live feed. I haven’t assembled a model for a long time but am fairly good with my hands, I listen, learn and apply. I’m also a mechanical engineer in the aeronautical industry. I have purchased all 20 x DeAgostini kit of the McLaren MP4/4 1998 1:8 scale and am ready to build. Most things I need are in place and I’m ready to go. I did wait 20 months for all the parts to arrive btw lol. One thing I want to do is replicate 1988 carbon fibre by airbrush (not water slide decal detailing items). Have you any recommendations on doing this? I have bought fine curtain lining which I fancy trying as a mask over the base colour. Maybe you could add this to the next live discussion? Do I spray grey or black 1st. and what about finish, a Matt clear? I don’t want to screw this baby up at the 1st. step lol Keep up the good work Paul Gordon

I have a glue called Bondic I'ts thick like epoxy and hardens in 4 seconds with the UV light which it comes with.

Ive tried the UV Glue and wasn't that impressed but maybe the bondic is better, thanks for watching and commenting - Paul :)

Great video Paul. Learning from your video to brush paint Tamiya clear. I'm having trouble as I see dark/light spots of red despite "pooling" the paint. Old paint or poor technique, any advice? Thank you.

Glad to help, maybe try a 2nd coat and see what its like then, if nor try a new pot of paint, thanks for watching - Paul :)

The girlfriend wanted to know if I was watching porn due to the noises I was making while enjoying this series. This kit is outstanding in design and the fit is on point. Simply beautiful with your craftsmanship. Where do you purchase the chrome and black markers you use? Thanks for this episode Paul. Going to miss this series when its completed.
