Excellent job, and I admire your skills ! I am now going to attempt doing a similar job on my Honda Ridgeline black fascia that I scraped up !! Thanks so much ! Gary from Ohio
It might look good now, but it looks like a bare plastic bar and now half is painted, after a while the sun will change it and youll easily see the difference. Always spray the whole bar so its uniform, instead of blending it.
Good afternoon Edwin, excellent results. You got the plan with that bumper repair. You get to repair parts, over here in the states they throw it in the dumpster. No one has any skills such as you. They are parts changers. Great video. You take care.
Why would you trash perfectly good parts ? This is a standard repair in the Netherlands. No insurance company is going to spend the cash to replace something that can be repaired dirt cheap. If this is really the case in the States, I suggest taking everything out of the trash that you can, fix it up and sell it as a used part. You could make a fortune.
Same in Canada. Just replace everything the technicians wouldn’t even do such repairs they would out source it to another company that specializes in trim pieces and such.
Nice work as always! And congrats on getting back a Formula 1 Grand Prix for 2020! Zandvoort will be on the schedule next season. Im sure there are a lot of Max Verstappen fans that will be extremely excited to hear the news!
Perfect! My car has been done with such kind of paintings many times. I cannot imange the technician could do that beautifully even at the difficult corners
Nice passionate work but I thought a little commentary as to what you want to achieve in each step would be even better ( atleast a text insertion in the video )👍🏻
What kind of texture? At the walmart I see rubberized texture that states it is for truck beds....are there different types such as fine or thick? Thanks to anyone who answers.
I couldn't do his job. I could make the bumper look as nice, but he's given a certain amount of time to accomplish this masterpiece, he does it and no one says "good job". He is expected to do this level of work everytime to receive a pay check. This work is every bit as difficult to do as a painting and at least people appreciate a painting, a bumper, not so much.
Great work to save money! But I would have done every plastic part with the ssme paint, to make it more uniform... the sun and the washing could change the surface colour
Really great result. What's the longevity of this type of repair? After 2-3 years of exposure to sun, water, cold, will it become visible or the finish start to peel/decay. Or, will it age with the existing plastic and remain invisible?
General mistake. Never touch the surface with your hand before painting! You leave oily patches of natural skin oil. The paint will peel off there in time.
I think what he's doing at 35:00 is adding texture. He then removes the glove and blows off his hand so that he can feel the texture compared to the original.
WIOW! Who would have thunk it! Yeah, I know thunk is not a word. LOL But who would have thought something so small would take so much work /many steps. It was cool watching this vid. Way cool! Thx!
