Danbury MInt models are the best die cast models I have encountered in recent times. It is too bad they went out of business.

@backinblack19 That's a small ball of butyl rubber. The stuff is usually used to hold windshields in place on real cars, but it's sort of a super sticky "fun tack" that I use to help open doors and such on model cars. It works great! You have to be careful, though - if you're not careful, you can pull off chrome trim or badges. Thanks for watching!

@Seattlecarnut We're with you on that. Buicks of the 'fifties had an undefined majesty... truly beautiful automobiles. And the colors were the icing on the (very large) cake. Thanks for watching!

@dacasman Yes, they do have a higher quality. These are clips taken from our live show, which airs every Saturday night at 7PM Eastern US. The older video clips were shot in hi-def, and took two-three days to produce (we also wrote the music, and did all the production in house). Our time these days is divided between our print magazine - The Car Room - and this show. Thanks for watching!

@MrCommanderData Thanks (and great name, man!). We're big fans of the Mints, and we're always on the lookout for what they have up next. As for that Sunstar - it's a nice piece. It's an early part of the "Platinum" lineup. If I could make a suggestion - go for a hardtop or the top-down convertible - and seal the photoetched insignias to the model with some dullcote laquer IMMEDIATELY, or you'll ultimately lose them if you wipe the car down. Thanks for watching!

@manoman0 Hello - Sorry about that, but we don't know of any model of the kind you're looking for. You might be able to find a promo model (of the kind that Chevrolet dealerships used to give out to potential customers), but other than that, I'm afraid we can't help.

@TheCarroom: Can you find me a 1:18 or bigger 1972 Chevrolet Impala 4-door hardtop coupé (pilarless)? In forest green? The car can be seen in "Forrest Gump", the first few opening mins of the movie. Thank you
