Honestly, I've always preferred Teens of Style instead (of course Face to Face is better than both of his first two Matador albums), but Teens of Denial still has some great songs--"Vincent", "Joe Goes to School", "Not Just What I Needed", and the masterpiece that is "The Ballad of Costa Concordia".

Gave the album a listen. And I thought this new re-imaging of Twin Fantasy is so fantastic! Will really polished and revamped many of the original songs with new instrumentals and better production. It is a contender for album of the year IMO. Would rate it a 10

every song on the album except stop smoking are honestly amazing songs on their own, nervous young inhumans included. it’s just that in comparison to all the other tracks on the album it’s pretty weak. it honestly seems like it leaves the least impact on the album, while something like stop smoking which is the weakest song musically is a huge symbol for the hopelessness near the end of the relationship. i’m honestly kinda bummed that he didn’t dig into the lyrics all that much, they’re one of my favorite parts about the album

The monologue on the original Nervous Young Inhumans was definitely better than the remake. The line “this is the part of the song where I start to regret writing it” is one of my favorite lines, and it’s really disappointing that he took it out since I like basically everything else about the re-recording better than the original.

I'd rate this album way higher than an 8!! the emotional journey is so impactful I always find myself shedding a tear. Definitely my personal favourite album from csh :)
