Great vid mate. Thanks! Just fitted mine this evening, no big issues. Tip for anyone else about to do it: Glass has to be fitted at the right level within your regulator, as I realised after finishing the job and putting half of the stuff back again! 😅 It can be adjusted up and down within the brackets on the regulator within a 20mm(ish) range. Make sure you shut the door and check the level before putting everything back together!

When testing the final gap close for the window so its properly sealed from wind and rain, you have the card plugged in and close the door to test? And then dissemble again to test?
My regulator came without this one bolt, so I have to buy new one tomorrow to clamp the front part of the regulator piece since the back top of the window doesnt fit in the top seal completely. Its the most stupid and annoying part
I have a 2009 Audi A5 and my window sounds scratchy when going up and is like being held back at the same time. Haven’t put it down cause I think it won’t go back up next time and it is ruining my left side of the windows tint
Remove your card and inspect if there is anything touching or leaning or close to the glass of there is that’s what is causing the issue however if there isn’t I’d advise you to get a new regulator and change the regulator should sort the issue out for you
Just fitted one of these to my a5 coupe and the window goes up and down fine but it won’t drop or fit back into the roof when I open and close the door. Any ideas? Any help would be great.
I'm considering attempting this over the weekend. I have a mechanic friend who was going to do it but he's maxed out at work and I don't want to bother him about it. I'm quite savvy with a toolbox, is it worth having a go myself?
Yess I would say give it a go, watch the video start to finish I explain everything, take your time and when doing the job keep the video close to you just for guidance
Hi, Just had my 2010 regulator replaced but now when pressing the button to lower the window it goes right inside the door before it stops then when trying to shut the window you have to keep your finger on the button any ideas why? Cheers
If you go on eBay and search it there you can find it for any car, that said I can’t find one for your car on eBay but if I’m not wrong the ldv cub also use similar parts to a Nissan may be worth looking further into this.
@@carhelpforyou5650 for fed up of it and gave it a whack low and behold it started working this morning mmmmm new train of thought can you get new brushes for these as looks like it is doable 4 screws and the commutator is exposed
Doesn’t sound like regulator sounds like something isn’t connected in the door check the wiring connections from door to car maybe even disconnect them and clean them see if that helps if not remove door card and fix wiring
Hi no you have to remove the glass from the regulator to free it then remove it out completely. Once glass is out then remove regulator and putting it back together in reverse order so start with regulator and then glass and then join them together inside the door
When trying to put the window down from driver door is it going down? If not going down and no noise check speaker is working for that door when radio is on if it isn’t then your door wiring plug isn’t connected however if speaker is working then problem is regulator, now if you can take window up and down from driver door but not from the rear door it self then the switch is bad you can get all parts from eBay or a breakers yard (scrap yard)
Take door car off loosen where the glass sits in the bottom with one hand push the glass up and other hand tighten it up you’ll get the gap to close up, hope it helps
