An AWD swapped rx7 with a 10 inch widebody and turbo 4rotor pushing 2000hp... And that's not even mentioning aging wheels' electric dual motor 900hp ford escape

To be fair, all he did with the Plaidessy was move the body over on top of the tesla frame. Theres no interior. Its more of a body swap than a sleeper. If he had made it look like a stock odessey interior and all, then that would be impressive. Anyone can cut the body off a minivan and slap it on a tesla frame...

Junkyard Dave's AWD widebody Charger Hellcat Wagon should've made the list. ALSO the guy's over at B is for Build have been pumping out awesome projects for years now. Both Channels deserve more recognition. Glad to see smaller channels make this list besides the usual characters.

A suggestion to include in further episodes of this: JP Performance Granted, his content is in German, but him and his crew have built (and are still currently building) some crazy cars! Here are some of the most notable ones: -A Mercedes 500E with a V12+manual swap -An A90 Supra with a BMW V10+manual swap -Momentum, a KTM X-Bow with extra Aero, slicks and a twin turbo Audi V6 with the turbos mounted on the outside of the car -Thunderbunny, a Mk2 Golf with an insane custom widebody and a mid-mounted VR6 -A motorbike swapped Renault Twingo -The Supergolf, a Mk7 Golf with a RWD VR6 swap, an Audi A4 subframe in the front and custom pushrod suspension in the rear And there's a lot more! It would be awesome if you could feature some of his stuff on the D-List! -A full tube frame Mk3 Golf with a full Audi R8 drive train (with a lot of stylistic inspiration from James' Golf), which is an ongoing build and probably will be for quite a while

I’ve met so many great content creators because of Donut. To think some random video on my home page about mechanics react would take me in a journey of new creators with ideas and the steps to implement them to reality is such a great thing because learning even the smallest thing from a video has made me appreciate these channels more than what is usually on the trending/home page. Sure it’s expensive but if it’s something you spend so much of your life in then it will probably be worth it. It’s good to know that most of these cars are just because they can and it’s nice not to be sold a fantasy that anyone can but they give enough knowledge to me at least to know I don’t have to spend $500,000 when it’s easier to just upgrade what I have to maintain and have a better viewpoint. Sure I just got divorced after 10 years but she wasn’t good for me or my son I have no car but I have my son and dreams that are attainable so Thanks donut.

hell yeah love to see toms refurb on here his videos are fantastic ive been watching him for a while now and not olny is he entertaining but he really does his work and its cool to see people who really do fix stuff in a budget, but do it the right way still mad respect to tom go watch his videos

One channel/build people really need to check out is "Build It Yourself". Dudes built a set of 4 valve heads for a Ford V10 and put them on a fully built block, got it running and they're putting it in a RWD converted late model Lincoln Continental. I get that they're not "Influencers"/part of the YT car influencer clique, so they never get the recognition they deserve, but everyone needs to check them out. It's incredible what they've managed to pull off. I guess they spend their energy on the build more than marketing.

Surprised you guys didn't include Project Binky from Bad Obsession Motorsports. It's a Leyland Mini with the entire drivetrain from a Celica GT-Four. It been an on-going project for the guys for over 10 years.

Surprised that Masutangu got noticed, but Tom deserves it.

I really love what Igor Negoda does. This man is building a fully custom, self-designed open-wheel racecar with a Yamaha R1 engine, with extreme care to every nut and bolt.

I’d like to see your take on this video idea: what is the best kind of car to make for the apocalypse? You can do a video on which is the best kind of car to drive, but I’m more interested in what kind of car you should make based on the parts that are available if an apocalypse happens. The rules: By Apocalypse, I mean that there is no longer any infrastructure. Gasoline refinement is minimal to none. Same thing for any kind of parts. The only parts that you would have available would be those that you might find in a junkyard or an abandoned demolished car dealership that has been left abandoned for at least 10 years and is subject to the environment and the degradation of wind and water and so forth. Any kind of vehicle can provide parts, so long as you can justify being able to find them. The winning car should have the easiest ability to repair, the easiest ability to power, and be reliable in an environment where reliability is dependent on how well you can maintain your car, and how well it can handle damage roads, bullets and arrows, and any number of environmental hazards.

Love to see D-series still in the mix, miss my 95 Civic with the D16z6, its a really underrated motor.

y'all have made a couple of these vidoes but haven't featured the almost ten year build that bad obsession motorsports has made. they're not that known but the videos they put out are so in depth and the amount of custom work they had to do on "Project Binky' is insane

That was a fun build! Hillbilly wanted it tall so I built it tall😂 definitely stands out in the crowd.

A series where you turn (reliable) beaters into nice dailys, while going over their history or specs and flaws/cons and pros and give them away to subscribers who buy merch would be sick!

As a Certified Tesla Technician my first thought about the custom roadster is "will the body panels fit like a normal tesla, shitty?" Then I saw the welder and all the rods and died in my chair. If he doesn't get banned from tesla for life for that, I'd be absolutely shocked. Tesla does not encourage any welding on their vehicles due to the underbody battery; instead they provide massive body rivets to section out panels (mated with bonding techniques). They've threatened to ban our shop just because we don't have a dedicated aluminum sander.

Probably the longest build series on yt has got to be bad obsession motorsports Binky. The level of fabrication is out of this world and Binky looks fantastic.

- nominating the Mini 4wd aka Project Binky (as the fabrication is next level and the footage/production fun to watch) - creations from Mighty Car Mods (hilarious to watch, driven by passion) - Ferrari Challenge Stradale Spider of Ratarossa (next level details)

We have an actual teenager here that has a complete build from the start on an old Toyota Tacoma with a Mercedes 300d diesel swap and it's tuned at around 400-500 hp if I remember right, and it's usually cruising around on slicks on cruise nights and it rips, nice work on that. Also another with a Ford Fairmont with coyote swap with turbos, and is turning over insane hp and is probably 5 different colors, and doesn't usually lose. What's cool is on the front fender he decided he was goin to put tally marks on everything he's beat, he has several hellcats and Teslas etc. so far.

What's so funny about the limo tackling a 45° incline, is the fact that unironically it's probably way more stable because of the wheelbase. So long as you got the ground clearance, you don't have to worry about over sending it and accidentally flipping it

Firstly, Donut have the only commercials I'll sit through and Secondly, James' energy and metaphors are unmatchable

i watch every episode of KC customs, its basically a s10 on air ride with a CRX frame sitting ontop of it but that amount of cutting welding and custom fab is nuts, ontop he does other car builds at the same time and gives them away, guy is truly a mad scientist with a grinder lol

You should talk about the French RU-vidrs, Vilebrequin, who took a Fiat multiplat, and transform it until they had 1300 horse power
