Hi Brad, thanks for the video. I also bought the plate, will install it in the spring on my CGT. I'm also not expecting to cut vibrations by 80% but even 30% would be fantastic just to enjoy longer rides, love my bike !

Very informative and detailed video! No need to ask any questions after seeing this one. And coincidently, I just got a text 2 minutes ago telling that there's someting to pick up at the local post office: 1 Carberry plate, 2 Hitchcock's head steadies - and of course 2 of those o-rings 😁 According to Warro, 2 head steadies instead of one will also reduce vibrations. Worth a try, maybe you'd try yourself?

I have installed it, as well. Vibrations have reduced. My only concern is that the plate has broken to some people after some mileage. How long have you been using it?

Well I attempted to install the Carberry on my Classic 500 and messed up bigtime!! First, I had to remove the foot peg, rear brake pedal and exhaust! After using a gear puller, I removed the magnito (stator?) and failed to secure the small key that keeps it secure on the shaft! It dropped out and fell somewhere! I can't reassemble the engine without it! It's on order from India!! I was told it "takes a while"! I was also told ordering the part would void my warranty; since I opened the engine case. 😥

Received my Carberry plate in & it arrived with an "installation tool", pvc pipe with a glued washer on one end, still haven't figured how bearing misalignment is an issue & not completely sure how to "properly" use this pvc "tool", there are a couple of pics but they're not too explanatory, any thoughts?

Great video man! One question. When you removed the side cover to install the plate, was there a gasket for the side cover you either had to replace or reuse?

Cheers for this clip Brad, just awesome. A Q about the backlash, what is the actual reason for correcting the backlash? Is it to quieting down the running noise or to ensure the valve clearance is correct or something else I'm missing? I get my 2018 C500 in a month and really looking forward to doing this upgrade. Really well explained. I got a little glazed over when you got to adjusting backlash. I have been considering getting a RE Interceptor, simply because highway vibrations on my (much loved) 500 C make any more than a 30minute ride at 60MPH hand and foot numbing. This plate might make the difference... I'm just not sure I have the tools or skills to install it. What are you doing this weekend! (ha)

I don't know how to really explain this, but I have read that this device can/will send the vibrations back up through the motor and cause damage. Do you think this is what caused some or all of your problems? It makes no sense that your RE would have had an almost complete and total failure as it did? I was going to buy a new bullet, but after what happened to your bike I thought other wise. Sad, I really like the bike.

Hi Bradd, is there any source of the Plate in the USA? Hitchcocks is waiting on the producers, I have tried to get hold of Carberry with no success, both by Phone and Email! Its a bit worrying!!
