Ring Arabian Xylophones Loud (Ribose Arabinose Xylose Lyxose) All Altruists Gladly Make Gum In Gallon Tanks (Allose Altrose Glucose Mannose Gulose Idose Galactose Talose) We had to create a chart of configuration of D-Aldoses and these were the mnemonics taught to us.

If you stick out your middle and ring fingers for D-galactose it could be like the spock hand sign from star trek (minus the pointer and pinky fingers), which is a GALACTIC sign of peace i think

the first one says D-gulose, which is a different sugar than D-glucose
