Good grief, where were these things 35 years ago when I first started wearing glasses? If used properly, this is an incredible improvement and time saver over the old school spray and microfiber cloth routine. In my zeal first trying them out, I think I actually did create a micro scratch on one pair of lenses that still had a particle of something on it, however - that's the key: If you are using these pads with any kind of pressure, you have to make sure that there is absolutely zero dirt or particles or residue of anything sitting on either side of the lens before you start, because anything solid like that can dig in and scratch them. But - assuming you are just removing light buildup and smudges, these work fantastic, and in a fraction of the time that I would venture many of us picky glasses wearers usually spend on spray and with the cloth, making sure every little thing is right. Heavier build up and oil over time probably still needs to be removed with the occasional bath in dish soap and lukewarm water first - but this product is worth it's weight in gold in terms of the time it is going to save me spraying and fussing over my lenses multiple times per day. Wonderful!

Had one for my camera lens which is magic, so was thrilled when I saw the one built for glasses (2 opposing pads). I have triple coated eye glass lens and this gadget really gets the smudges off, not just moves them around. Caution: you MUST brush the glass free of dust, dandruff etc. Makes sense to me.

I have a pair (set? Who knows?) of peeps, and they work nothing like this. All they do is move the oily smudges around the lenses. I have tried working them every which way possible, and they just move around the oil.

I have worn glasses for over fifty years, this is "THEE BEST" way to clean them I have ever found AND the easiest, simplest also!

I was considering buying these until i saw the oily smudge still there at 1:01. I mean... that's where i have the most issue with in the first place.

You have to use soap and water to remove oils. Otherwise you're just smearing the oil around.

Can this b used to clean Nikon lenses with coated lenses I got script glasses n they said to ask b4 saying if I should use this

Query: I just purchased Essilor Varilux S 4D (HD) lenses, with both hardening and AR (anti-refective) coatings: Are PEEPS safe to use on AR coated lenses? Are the pads themselves, replaceable? I frequently incur oily areas on the upper, inner side of my lenses near my eyebrow and nose intersection, and anticipate there'd eventually be a build-up of oily residue on the pads... Thank you!

Run glasses under warm water. Then use dish soap(Dawn Palmolive) with your fingertips massage your lenses gently, Then rinse with warm water (not HOT) wipe with clean dry soft cloth, save $10-12 bucks. Bought a trial size of Dawn dish soap use it 3-4 times a week. Going on a year with that trial size for $2.99 my Glasses look brand new to this day.I have Crizal lenses with all the bells and whistles. Transition, progressive top UV PROTECTION ETC. Lenses alone cost me $450...OH DO NOT USE PAPER TOWELS. THEY HAVE WOOD FIBERS IN THE CREASES. Microfiber cloths..Forget all that spray shit. DISH SOAP CASE CLOSED..

Those of you commenting on the smudge at the ~1:00 mark, the smudged lens was the one he DIDN'T clean! It was showing a comparison. Geez, people don't pay attention!

Obviously these needed to be cleaned from time to time. How should they be cleaned?

This looked like a great idea, but despite the assurance it wouldn't scratch the glasses, that's exactly what happened. I have an anti-reflective coating on my >$400 pair of glasses, which are now permanently scratched. I hate that these are still being sold.

As someone who recently got glasses, I think I will give this a try. What can it hurt?

I used toothpaste works great And cost me One dollar and last for One thousand washes!!

Don't buy it on my 6th use with it it started peeling off waist of 15 dollars
