I received 2 for Christmas...they smeared..then i pressed a little harder and they worked like magic. I was gentle but firm...and after 4 weeks the lenses fell out of my glasses. The end.

How you wipe your lenses is almost as important as what you use to wipe them. I found out from an optometrist that I've been cleaning my glasses the wrong way for about 30 years! The oils from your skin, sweat etc. are deposited mostly on the inner edge of your glasses where they come in contact with your nose and face. Never wipe back and forth across your lens; skin oils and the dirt that clings to it will smear across your lenses. Always wipe in one direction only: from the outside edge toward the nose piece. Don't wipe back to the outer edge- lift and wipe from the outside edge toward the inside each time. Use one continuous swipe inward each time until your lenses are clear. No more endless battling with smeared lenses! I would love to know if, using this method, you experience improved effectiveness with the peeps cleaner. Anyone?

I don’t know why all the reviews for this seem to be lowly scored. I’ve had mine for about 2 weeks and it’s the best glasses cleaner I’ve ever used. If have any problem with them I just lick the tip of my finger and rub on my glasses then use them. But I don’t think people know that they can only be used 500 times before being replaced, which is cheaper than buying spray or micro fibers in the long run. I think people underestimate how they are used and what not. I use these to clean my glasses all the time, and will never go back to microfibers and spray. I don’t know if the product has improved since these reviews, but I got mine from Super Target grocery store in Texas and I couldn’t be happier. Sprays and cloths just move the smudges around but don’t actually remove them. I’ve also never had to use the brush, but I guess it is nice that the brush is included.

They are the best. However if you have greasy residue (sunscreen makeup) you may still need to do a quick rinse with a drop of Dawn and water.. then use this for in between and on the go..

I got one for Christmas, used it for the first time today, and it worked brilliantly. Very fast and efficient, much better results than a microfibre cloth which seems to smear and make things worse before actually cleaning. I rarely clean my prescription glasses as I have trained myself never to touch the lenses nor to store them anywhere other than over my eyes or in their protective cases (I have 2 pair). I don't rest them on my head in my hair, or leave them randomly about home, work or car. If not wearing them, they are in their cases and stored where I can always find them (bag or dedicated car compartment depending on prescription). By never touching the lens nor exposing them to other contaminants I find I rarely have to clean them, but when I do, I expect results. This product finally met my expectations. I'm also wary of cleaning products and methods that damage or remove all the expensive anti-glare and UV protection coatings from my lenses. What's a microfibre cloth other than very fine grain sandpaper? I used less pressure on the Peeps cleaning tongs than I need to exert on microfibre cloths, and both sides of the lens were cleaned simultaneously, avoiding the mishap of accidentally touching the side of the lens just cleaned. It's also easier to hold the frames of the glasses while cleaning as you don't need to exert as much pressure thus avoiding mishaps due to loss of grip.

I’ve used something similar. When you clean them they look good in a not very well lit room. But when you go outside you see streak marks and smudges all over the place.

I'm not a fan of gimmicky marketing and usually ignore products like this. I was given them for Christmas. I did as you did in the video, I cleaned one lens first and the difference was amazing. I don't believe the carbon and recharge spiel at all. What they do is provide more leverage than I would typically be able to get with a cloth. It gets very small corners and both sides of the lens at once. I don't know what version or what technique the commenters here who don't find them working are using but I get great results from them and can't go back to a cloth any more.

Hi one thing i do.. If ime out at a Restroom some where i. wash them in the sink then i use the blower on them to dry my glass's off (no smudges). Just remember hold on to those good ! ! !

I purchased mine on eBay for 3 to 4 bucks. Maybe that's why they DON'T work! Also, maybe that's why mine is also very, very tight. Almost can't get it apart to work! Maybe it's a cheap China knockoff? However, the printing on the box is an A+ printing job! Very tight. Almost break when I pull it apart. It didn't work when I bought them 3 months ago. They've been sending me pre-used or some worker at the facility is touching all the pads before they send them because something because I've ordered mobile pairs AND ONLY ONE SET OF PEEPS I've ever ordered has worked properly. usually they just smear everything around all over the winds and don't remove it. And yes I wipe my lenses before I use them. I've even washed them in the sink with warm water and Dawn to make sure they were absolutely clean when I ordered a brand new pair and used the brand new pair of Peeps on my glasses AND THEY ACTUALLY MADE MY GLASSES DIRTIER! You'd probably be better off Just using regular cleaning solution and a microfiber cloth, & When they get too dirty just use a little bit of dawn and some warm water and wash them off in the sink and let them air dry. I know it's kind of a pain in the butt but when glasses get really dirty the silly water method is always the best! Peeps are a total waste of money & definitely not worth the $20 they cost a pair!

I'm not bashing on this but ever since like 10 yrs ago I started cleaning my glasses with just basic hand soap and warm water and shake the water off and blow them dry with pressurized air (dust off cans) and walla... they be just as good as new.... never ever went back to cleaning with microfiber or sprays. Now I know this is for some picky people not an option because it involves... water and air. But beleive me it will keep ur glasses from scratching too much sooner

@Cruisnc Canada, got them today they are pretty nice actually, needed a little pressure to clean but worked perfectly, and its probably cheaper to use them for the 300 something carbon charge cycles, than to buy lens cleaning liquid every new weeks

They do not work! After using Peeps, I have to use my regular cleaning methods to remove the smears and residue left by Peeps. Glad I only paid $12 for it!

All the reviews you read that say Peeps works are from people that work for the company, the only way peeps works is if the glasses were clean in the first place, if they are dirty, all they do is smear the dirt around and make things worst, the absolute truth.

Studivan: I do NOT work for the company and never have. I do own Peeps and I do like them. They work quite well for cleaning my glasses when I am out and about. Always use the brush to clean off any particulants that may scratch the lenses and then polish the lenses. You may have to go back over to remove some smudges or streaks but they will be cleaner. I always start with clean lenses every morning using a spray and cloth but Peeps works well to clean splatters and smudges that might come along during the day. Beware of knockoffs though as they might not work as well.

I bought two pair from two merchants . Neither worked at all, actually both lenses were more smudged than when I started, so bad that my glasses were very foggy. Possibly the worst product I’ve ever tried, i tried soft, I tried hard, I tried breathing on the lens for vapor, do not buy!!

I bought one a couple of months ago. And have used it at least 10 times. IT IS USELESS No matter how you try the pads simply smear the oils from your skin across the lens making a dirty lens EVEN DIRTIER. IF YOU PRESS HARD ENOUGH FOR LONG ENOUGH ON THE PADS YOU CAN EVENTUALLY ACHIEVE AN ACCEPTABLY CLEAN LENS. But what is the use of that? A simple polishing cloth or some liquid soap and water is FAR BETTER AND QUICKER. DO NOT BUY THIS.

No kidding: the instructions say: “breath on the lens” if smudges are persistent. My mom used to breath on my glasses and then clean them on my T-shirt. When I became an adult and on my own, the cost of my glasses with continuous focus and all the coatings exceeded $500/pair, so started using pre-moistened lens clothes. I tried PEEPS; NO THANKS.

It's a scam, despite all the good reviews.. they must be paid ones. It does not clean the harder spots, they stay smeared. They told me not to put pressure.. there is no way these things work.

They did not work for me. Maybe its the anti-reflective coating or plastic lenses in my prescription glasses, but they don't do the job. The paperwork inside the plastic bag they come in suggests using some lens cleaning cloths they are trying to sell you as well. False advertising in my humble opinion.

You should never use paper based products (Kleenex, toilet paper etc...) on your glasses. The fibers will create microscopic scratches on your lenses.

Dasdfjkl It's not that the lenses are soft, it's that paper products (TP, tissues, paper towels) are much rougher than you realize. If you looked at a tissue through a microscope, you'd be shocked. Also, most lenses are chemically coated. Wiping them with paper scratches the coating and the lens: microscopically at first, but eventually they'll obstruct your vision. Whether you wear corrective lenses or designer sunglasses, it's smart to protect your investment - and your vision.

Cruisn Canada glasses look as if I have rubbed my finger on the lens when I use the peeps. Better results with an old t shirt that I tore up and use.
