Great job as always, but I miss your comments and explanation during the process. It’s not meant as negative critisism, the opposite, your other videos really taught a lot, especially about being meticulous and prep to get good results.
Hello Christian, thank you for the comments mate, yeah I know there wasn't much of an explanation on this one, but if you spot in the back ground during the making of this bonnet I also made 2 roofs, another bonnet inner frame along with some cnc work and flocking so I literally had no spare time to elaborate on the video, I just needed to record what I could and more importantly get the work out the door. The principles though are exactly the same as explained in other video's. My channel isn't really a 'how to kind' of channel although I try and explain where I can, its more to show customers and potential customers what they get for there money, kind of a sales pitch without having to explain all the time and also each customer gets their own undates of the process which afaik no one else does to that level.. If you would like me to do a specific type of vlog then let me know and I can see what I can do. Thank you for watching and taking the time out to comment, I really appreciate it mate. 🙂
Looks good! About the only thing I do different is put the gum tape on first. Saves the time of masking the flange to just untape it to then put gum tape on. I like the two infustion lines on the top of the hood tho. Also, just subscribed.
Many thanks Aj and like wise, love your, I have tried using your methods and I just cannot do it, you make it look easy, I think its all about finding a system which works for the user and then just stick with it and perfect it. Thank you so much for subscribing and I look forward to your next video, be great to do a overseas collab at some point 🙂
Hello David, thank you for your kind words, I used 3M8115 panel bond for the nuts and a PU flexible adhesive to bond the skins together. I hope this helps
Hello Bobby, the gelcoat doesn't discolour in sunlight, the only issue I have seen is hazing which was moisture in the gelcoat from spraying, this is cured by the use of a large air dryer.
Thank you , no I use a large nozzle and build it up in layers to get a wet finish, needs to be done quickly though as the gelcoat flashes off very quickly
