I used to be pretty terrified of V-Riviere and have forgotten how medicore and overcosted (even for 2012 standard) her OG form is, by the way, 12 years later, I still laugh every turn when I see G3 Riviere's eyes, fortunately her V art got a lot better
This set was the start of one of the worst trends in Vanguard that still continues to this day. Bermuda being the special clan and getting its own set instead of being in regular boosters like they should have been is Bushi clan favoritism at its worst and they still do it today with Lyrical Just put them in the regular sets, they ain’t special
I somewhat agree and disagree with this. It does appear to give Bermuda special treatment by giving them their own sets, but at the same time the stuff they get don't really bolster the "favoritism" standard. In the early sets Bermuda was more of a fun gimmick clan that gave Bushi a chance to experiment with new ideas, and oftentimes meant the clan wasn't that good despite the various strategies supported. G especially gave the impression that Bermuda was always behind, with every set effectively catching them up to the power level of the Era. It wasn't until the final G Set for Bermuda that the clan truly blew up, with loads of objectively superior cards and unfair decks. V continued this trend and cemented Bermuda's notoriety. Lyrical boosters, however, don't maintain this trend and are mostly composed of decent decks and the occasionally strong strategy (Luticia, Kairi, etc.) So in terms of favoritism, the exclusivity of Bermuda/Lyrical oftentimes did not work to the clan/nation's advantage. I believe the true point of putting them in their own sets was to experiment but also to not clog up Booster Set space, especially with a clan with the most controversial aesthetic in the game. So I understand your perspective but imo the divide isn't born from favoritism but rather from a different direction for clan design which Bushi didn't want to clog up main sets with.
