Malabo, bago pa lumabas yung ulat na yan, matagal ng usap usapan na ang susunod na Santo Papa ay Italiano ulit. Sa history ng Simbahang Katolika, halos lahat ng naging Santo Papa ay galing sa Italy, or mga Italiano. Halos lahat din ng nasa Vatican mga Italiano kaya maimpluwensya ang lahi nila pagdating sa pagpili ng Santo Papa. Matagal na kasi nung huling nanggaling sa Italy ang Santo Papa kaya gusto nila Italiano naman ulit. Si Pope John Paul ll galing Poland, si Pope Benedict XVl galing sa Germany at si Pope Francis galing Argentina. Kung hindi man Italiano , taga USA ang matunog at isa sa mga paborito na pumalit, sunod yung Black Cardinal from Africa.

The pride of the Filipino is Cardinal Tagle but that is just pride and it has no place in the Holy Catholic Church. Be a Filipino Pope or a Pope from Nigeria it would not matter - the successor of Saint Peter and the Vicar of Christ may come from anywhere so long it is the Will of God. So do not politicized it. This is specifically addressed to the mass media that tend to blow things out of proportion to gain ratings.

He is very frank in what he is saying, I sometimes listen to his homily from Vatican Mass. Frank means open, honest, and direct in speech or writing, especially when dealing with unpalatable matters. Bro eli answered, pope is first mentioned in 521 ad, and being used in the 1100's ayon sa catholic encyclopedia. When a cardinal is below 80 yrs old at the time of the conclave he is ordinarily a candidate... Obviously Card. Tagle is relatively young for an eventual conclave so by norm he is a candidate... It seems senseless the comment about the possibility of being a candidate 😂😅
