WOW! A gold mine. I am tossing the NIH Old Folks stuff and replacing it with Alyssa Adventure. After 13 years of the NIH routines and only 1 week with you I know the improvements ahead for me. I am 90 with lots of arthritis, but very little, if any, pain. But typical aging issues that I needed help with. My son’s partner is an experienced orthopedic therapist and she recommended your channel. Cheers!

This was a great workout! I have right hip OA and an issue in the left big toe joint so the sumo squats (mainly hip) and reverse lunges (mainly toe) were tough but manageable- any ideas for alternatives or is it a matter of modifying or avoiding? Thanks!

Well, this looks like a must-do :) How many times a week do you recommend Alyssa? I guess I could use a 10-pound kettlebell for the weight part and as for something to step over, a piece of 2 x4 would work. Thanks again for another great video.
@arthritisadventure
@arthritisadventure 4 года назад
I would recommend starting out with 3 times a week with one day in between! Most of my videos help you to get started and are about 15-20+ minutes so depending on how you feel I would work up to 5 days per week! Yes you could use the kettlebell for the weight and stepping over a 2x4 would work! Enjoy!

For the mini sumo dead lift , is your torso leaning forward a bit or trying to stay completely straight going down? Thank you for a short combination video that was the perfect amount of time for me!

Those reverse lunges cause me pain just below my knee cap. Should I keep doing them or?
@arthritisadventure
@arthritisadventure 2 года назад
In the front or back knee? One of my favorite modifications is a front foot elevated lunge where you put the front leg on a step if the issue is in the front leg

In the front of my knee just distal to the knee cap. The same place it hurts when going down stairs. It actually was the elevated lunge😀. Thanks for the reply
