Kaplan assist a lot of IMGs in their journey to practicing medicine in the US, it is a quite long pathway but not impossible. all you need is sit USMLE step 1 and 2 in order to secure a residency in a hospital... a Dr from Republic of Congo, btw great job girl!

From my experience once your get your immigration status sorted and get your social security number in the USA, you can re apply for your nursing license with New York State Nursing Board , they don’t require CGFNS evaluation, they do their own evaluation in-house. They will process it and give you a green light to take the Nclex. Once you pass and receive your license in New York State you can endorse it to the State that you’re residing. You don’t have to take the CGFNS route if you have the green card. Note: Accelerated Nursing degree is ridiculously expensive in the USA.
