Hello from Melbourne Victoria, hope u are enjoying life, I see the W/I have finally got genuine reasons to be hopeful and excited for the future of W/I cricket. Some real talent and genuine strong characters to match which is just what is required at this point in time to get things back on track. Good luck
@@brentrambhajan2295 Kiwis use bottle tops. Lou Vincent and Chris Cairns fixed matches (no Aussies on that list). Former NZ Captain Crowe admitted to ball-tampering. Grow up and stop pointing the finger one-way as you look like a daft hypocrite.
I thoroughly enjoyed the cricket match. The energy in the stadium was infectious, and witnessing the precision and athleticism of the players up close was truly impressive. A fantastic way to spend the day immersed in the excitement of the game!
A highlight package should include the dropped catch of Mitchel Marsh: that was a turning point of the game. If he caught Marsh, Head would still be in.
@@JERIN1963 first of all this match was took place in New Zealand so how did Aussies cheat? and winning 10 ICC tournaments is not possible with cheating with the latest one in India (2023 odi world cup), to play 13 ICC tournament finals (8 odi world cup final, 2 champions trophy final, 2 t20 world cup final and 1 wtc final) and winning 10 of them it takes guts, determination, practice and to be the best than others
Was listening on the radio to this match & giving Pat the benefit of the doubt regarding the winning runs, so I'm only watching this to see the last shot. Can't believe Alex missed out on a ton here, fair dinkum unbelievable. Carey is a great sportman & team man, he's missed a 100 against his name on this occasion. It was a very good Test, New Zealand had a big chance to level the series.
Actually I thought they were really good. The match was tight & the result could have gone either way but we just got up at the end in a really close one. Top marks to the Kiwis though, they are really tough to beat at home.
@@petepierre6458yelling ‘oh no’ for dropped chances or over celebrating wickets are signs of poor commentary. Say what you want about Aussie broadcasters, but fox sport are always on the straight and narrow and show equal enthusiasm towards both sides.
To win this match from 80-5 , only Australia could do it . This match could be placed second to another great match played in 2000’s in Hobart or Perth when Australia chased 380 against Pakistan on Day 5 having lost 7 wickets .
CAREY has grown in confidence and skill as a keeper, finally his batting has demonstrated his worth as an All rounder , ADD to this, CAREY scored at strikerate around 76% in this innings, he did not bludgeon the bow lers,he simply focused on what he needed to do , he never appeared rushed From the 2 matches , the sta n diets have been CAREY,GREEN,LYON, HAZELWOOD STARC CUMMINS GREEN that's 7/11 We have 4 other players truly struggling for form YET Australia still WON 2-0 IMAGINE if we finally sort out our batting ? HEAD ,SMITH ,KUWAJA ,LABS moving forward, we must rotate these 4 players through (3) positions ,and introduce some new young blood NOT RENSHAW OR BANCROFT so m e raw new ta l ent, we are running out of time
@darrylmackie9184 alrounder is a player who contributes to the team in more than 1 department , thus CUMMINS bowling rounder HEAD batting all rounder GREEN MARSH =full all-rounder CAREY is a wicket-keeper who bats well Some teams over the years had keepers who couldn't bat, but times have changed GILCHRIST ,DUJON, STEWART ,BAIRSTOW ,are an example of keepers who were genuine all rounders with their batting skill
Yes he was dropped, but so was Kuggeleijn before he got going & some 70 odd runs were added after that. If Marsh was out, then Head wouldn't have been facing next ball & who knows how he would have finished. That's cricket, anything can & mostly does happen.
Why is it specifically Australia that we always goof up against. I guess it's the brother relationship..... I am an elder brother myself so I feel and understand 😂😂😂😂
They got alert after the Gabba test defeat against the weak West Indies, they seriously took the West Indies very normal after so many success through the past year. It's normal that they took this game seriously.
@@petepierre6458 Australia has four major football codes (only country in the world) that tends to dilute the talent pool. Imagine if we only had Rugby.
Carey was on 98 and Cummins completed winning runs in last ball of over. If it's Indian batsmen so much try to give away the strike. That's the difference why australia wins 🏆 do not encourage stat padding
1. I'm an Aussie. 2. I was secretly hoping the Kiwis would win. And they nearly did. 3. Kiwis have cute accents. 4. Love the casual atmosphere of this ground.
Now you know how we feel after every Rugby game against you! .The better team usually wins on the day or night. Your guys did really well against a top quality attack.
@@scottwilliam6141 No Australian cares about Rugby? Is that so? Perhaps you care to explain to me why Rugby gets more attendance in internationals than NRL, AFL & most Soccer games? And why Rugby has the highest attendance record? That, btw, is 109,700 at the Olympic Stadium vs. The All Blacks. Oh wait, your opinion counts, doesn't it? See, every true Australian knows what's going on in all sports.
@@jimmyriddle5246 So minor we won 2 world cups? The point is, they have been beating us & beating us easily for a long time! Outside of their Brisbane & Sydney teams, non AFL fans couldn't name an AFL player neither. Works both ways.
@@petepierre6458 when were those world cups ? Waaaaay back. ( I had to google it). And that's the point , rugby is in serious decline and is now a minor sport. They're the facts. You're comparing the AFL with rugby in Australia? C'mon man, you can do better than that
@@jimmyriddle5246 Why not. Outside of NSW, no one can knows any AFL player. Not sure I understand what your issue is? Rugby is still being played in NSW & Qld, in fact even Vic & WA have teams in the super championships. Oh wait, you don't understand playing other sides outside of Australia. Got it. AFL, the game where you get a point for missing a goal. Like a participation award. Yep, that's it! At least you can say you're the world champions at it.......
Sorry, that was no choke. The better team won on the day in a really tight match. Cummins has a long history of hanging in there for tight wins, last year in England he & Lyon put on over 60 for the 9th wicket, the 200 stand with Maxwell at the recent World Cup of course & even in his first test as an 18 yo, he put on decent 8th wicket stand to get us home against South Africa.
@@PunjabHP We won the first test by 172 runs of which Green scored 174. The other 3 innings, neither side got to 200 due to top quality bowling. That aside, both teams were competitive. No way did NZ roll over.
It's a team sport not an individual one. Cummins did the right thing by hitting that ball to the boundary. He ensured the win for his team. Individual accolades come second. Think about that before you make a stupid comment about someone.
100% agree. It's actually a little embarrassing. Look back at the teams from the 30-60's. There was a certain dignity and humility about besting your opponent. Some of these blokes carry on like teenage girls at a pop concert. It's actually a little emasculating.
It was his first test! Of course he was pumped & rightly so! What's wrong with you? I reckon this guy will step up into one of NZ's best. I was really impressed with him. I think he'll love our pitches when he comes over.
To all the cricket boards on how to create a good package of highlights, please never ever learn from NZC. This is going from bad to worse to terrible. What the hell, @nzc? So far, I have found that the West Indies Cricket Board creates a wonderful highlights package covering major events with proper replays.
2:05 and 4:21 come on, watch your language, mate. I don't care whether it's Australia or New Zealand or anyone else, that type of language should not be acceptable at this level when there are mics out there and kids watching. You can have enough self control to not drop the F bomb. It's not that hard.
