Repairing polypropylene plastic using a plastic welder. Surface scratches in plastic trim in the cargo area are probably the most common plastic repair requests for mobile technicians.

Such great information in all of your videos. Enjoyed learning about the types of plastics as well as your ingenuity with using the heat gun along with the smoothing tool.

Love how you can just see results right in front of your eyes! Great technique thanks for sharing! I have a hot stapler but need to look into this plastic welder!

Rick you must make additional video about polypropylene texturing on small area( maybe part of a bumper or something bigger). I think that is what all needed!

cant seem to find a plstic welder with a heat control knob. mine is either on or not..and when its on...its hot enough to burn holes in the surface of the earth

This is the best review I've watched on the subject by far. I just got a plastic welder and I'm goin to try it out! My only question is how do you mix the pigment in the primer to color match?

I mix the same ratio as in the binder for leather. About 20%. There are several videos here showing the color matching process I use. Thanks for your kind words.

I've used these techniques for many years, however, I've never seen nor heard of a "graining pad" where pretell did you get it?
