A solution for hiding/camouflaging those annoying door panel scratches that randomly appear on the Toyota Tacoma. VRP by Chemical Guys provides a perfect luster and shine to hide these blemishes without giving your Taco an “oily and greasy” residue.

This stuff works great.. been almost a month now and have only had to reapply once. Definitely the best solution for now.

Ordering some now. Is it necessary to use the meguiars first?

@@davecarroll171 no need for Meguiars first unless the panels are really dirty.. honestly the vrp removed dirt the detail spray didn’t remove.

What made you choose the vrp over the silk shine? does vrp have a glossy finish?

The VRP is supposed to not be greasy and last a while. It’s also not super shiny either.. I went with it mainly because of w good reviews it had. I now use it for the majority of my interior.

Oddly both my front doors has scratches under the window switches section of the panel. We don't even touch that section when we open or close the door.

It’s a great mystery for many of us… at some point many years from now I’ll probably dismount the panels and repaint them.

Bruh I have the same issue why is Toyota using cheap platics
@westcoasttaco
@westcoasttaco Год назад
Seems to be a common trend these days… regardless of the manufacturer.. I’ve had older Toyotas and never had to do 3/4 of the work or effort I put into the upkeep of this taco. Don’t get me wrong.. I love my truck, but there’s no denying that they don’t make them the way they used to.. can’t imagine what they will be like 10 years from now😬??

That’s to keep the price down. I’ll gladly take cheap plastics as long as it’s not in the essential parts of the vehicle. This vehicle is incredibly reliable. That makes this a minor issue.

Have you seen that watch your wearing? That’s where the scratches are coming from

Man, I swear the interior plastic in my 2020 Taco will scratch if you even look at it too hard. It’s so frustrating because I used to have a 1997 Taco and the plastic was so much tougher.

Really? Never thought about that, will it ruin the texture of the door panel though?

Toyota using cheap ass plastic and finishes. That stuff works pretty good, think using a heat gun and then going over with the VRP would give you the best results. Bought a used 21 Tundra recently and every panel has scratches on them.

Bummer.. sorry to hear that it didn’t work out for you.. I absolutely love this stuff and I use it on every surface excluding the glass and speedometer.. saves me a ton of money with me not having to buy a bunch of other products.
