Love it! I've read the page of the blog (look in the descrption box) about the event. I'm amazed by the thing of replacing 400,000 delivery vans with cargo bikes by 2025. That's sounds great. I hope that can be achieved.

This is a great video. Gives a short perspective of what a wide variety of cargo bikes there are and what they can be used for. I live in a small city in central south British Columbia in western Canada and have never seen any cargo bikes here. Something that our country should grasp. I have to say that the one part of your video has a great contrast with the cargo bikes all filing past not using any power and a massive power grid in the background good one. Also the guy playing the tuba was he on a wooden bike?

I would love to be there taking part in that parade. It must be growing exponentially now six years later? A few weird and wonderful novelty machines but all for a practical purpose in a real world situation. Oh, and a definition of a gentleman could very well be someone who can play the tuba, but doesn't. Same applies to bagpipes.
Funny how California bikes shops talk like they invented the cargo bike. Learned a lot from this video. Stability is the trike. Cargo over two wheels. Want one with a beefy German Bosh hub drive and 48 volt battery!
Hier sind viele gute Möglichkeiten vom Transport und längere Strecken etwas zu transportieren oder gemütlich mit Kindern zu fahren. Warum sind diese Möglichkeiten so Teuer? Warum werden machen Firmen mit Steuergeldern am Leben erhalten? Was hat es für Vor und Nachteile, 1-2 gute Modelle mit Steuern so günstig zu machen, dass sie sich jeder Leisten kann? Wer kann etwas ergänzen oder ist anderer Meinung? Grüße von Peter

I wish that the person holding the camera would've dun a better job, in means of standing a bit further behind, so that we could get an overview of the bikes in all, and nt just parts of the bikes, immediately in front of the camera. I was really keen on seeing what brands where represented there, other than Bakfiets, Nihola and Bullitt.
The old ones are definitely human-powered. Electric assist is part of the reason they've seen a resurgence, but many of the smaller ones are still human-only. Generally it comes down to the weight of the bike and the occupants, as well as how far you ride regularly and the kind of terrain you usually encounter.

it's freaking great but this "oriental" music is going on my nerves - no need to be THAT politically correct - just play some medieval dutch songs, would be much more enjoyable
