I'd say that was the last decade you could get your hands on these drugs. From 2010 - current, it became more and more difficult. It's nearly impossible now to get opioid painkillers. :(
It's been abused but not addicted I've had these prescribed my entire life on and off never had withdrawals I had withdrawals from benzos and pain meds, but not Soma
@@sandymitchell1606 first time i ever tried Somas my girlfiend at the time ate my ass and then we passed out on the floor, very inspiring and productive drug as you can see
@@mysteryY2K I am so sorry mystery. I know you miss your ass, I would not know what to do if someone ate my ass. I don’t even know how i would take a shit after that.Prayers for you sweetie.
Man, I MISS THIS DRUG. What a fabulous drug this is. Definitely never gave me issues like either benzodiazepines or opiates did. This shit is rare though, an ex-girlfriend had access to it but that shit has long since been voided. I used to work 12 hour shifts on the reg and she would give me 2 of these after and it would produce crazy euphoria. Definitely a unique drug. A very desirable one IMO.
John Dahlberg I have tried lyrics and it only helps with the sciatica but not for my actual back pain. Soma is the only thing that has helped me with pain other than the opioids
Yes! I love morphine/Diamorphine a lot, but when I'm in the field and too sore to keep moving, I can take a handful of Soma and keep right on going. It's very helpful (lower back problems and bad knees).
Yay! he did me suggestion! ILY. I have tried Soma on many occasions and must add the tolerance is very random. One day it wont work, the next day if could floor you.
The reason for different experiences is because it must be taken about 5-10 minutes after eating food. If you do not it is likely to have little to no effect. I followed this regimen for about 2 years with consistent and great effect.
@@hasselnttper3730 that’s literally so dangerous. You are very lucky to be alive, that many downers stacked on top of eachother? Sounds like a recipe for death
@HAHAHINNA you can be just fine as long as you can always get it. Was on both for around the same time and was forced to go cold turkey. Had multiple seizures and hallucinations for some time all while feel that I was going to die making me want an anti anxiety drug. I'll stick with just soma on it's own nowadays. All the best.
I used to legit order it from the internet before it became Schedule 4 (IV) in 2012 on a federal level. I live in NY, and it wasn't considered controlled at that time, though other states placed it in controlled status.
@@aprilleerose Yes they do, I'm prescribed 350mg x 3 for Chronic pain with 10mg oxycodone. It helps with sleeping through the night without being awoken by pain
A close family member has been prescribed 350mg TID for over 20 years by our family physician, though it's only taken as needed. The euphoria is quite real and unique, though tolerance builds quickly.
@Eren Cox wish i hallucinated! Lol😭...btw ion even member this thread. We talkin fentanyl? Or blues? Or gettin the blues from fentanyl 🥴 #bars No Zans 🤷♂️
@Eren Cox bruh u aint tellin me shit...😭 been there done that! Several times. Hallucinating aint what ive been thru bro! 😭💀 Just Wide Awake for a month...
@Eren Cox I'll drop the charade - I am the "family member" that still has an everlasting prescription for carisoprodol due to a necrotizing blood clot (DVT) that was attributed to my being overweight at the time. Every doctor thought I was in a pattern of drug-seeking because I saw as many specialists in a short amount of time. My leg hurt so badly I wanted to die, then I developed severe respiratory problems at work and passed out in the elevator. I was taken to the emergency room and was diagnosed with myopathic necrosis, edema, and venous insufficiency in my right leg. Since then, I've lost a lot of weight, but I get those Somas refilled faithfully each month. Seeing as I had previously been treated with the old formulation OxyContins and generic MS-Contin with 30mg oxycodone for "breakthrough pain", carisorodol is the only relief I still have access to. I take it more when I want a buzz, because nothing touches the pain I still feel in my leg. Nothing.
This drug when used properly is a god send..A very unique medication and works well in combination with other medications like opiates..I have used it for 20 years and never had withdrawals from it..It helps me with muscle aches, spasms, pain, insomnia..There really is no medication I have found quite like it..It has sedation and relaxing properties..Would stick to what’s prescribed..
@@louisn1368 In the 90s doctors wrote it like candy..Then it got abused, then the government stepped in and made it a controlled drug..I have had easier times getting doctors to write Morphine over Soma..I got lucky and about 20 years ago found a very young doctor to write it..When he retires I highly highly doubt I find anyone else to write it..Nothing else works for me I’ve tried them all and then some..
@@Charles-fp4yk damn that’s great to hear but awful to hear you know one day you no longer will be able to have the only medicine that works for you Is it a scheduled drug like do you need a script or is it just a doctor nice and knowledgeable enough to know that this medicine does work for people I’m sure it would be a script is that correct? I wish they never stopped I took one once when I was in Hawaii years ago and it was amazing for my muscle pain from a awkward landing cannot say I wouldn’t mind to have that in my medicine arsenal as it worked great for the week I was taking them and I never abused them I did however like a glass of red or white wine with dinner after after dinner back at the room I would take another amazing medicine

Exellent overview of this medication well done. This is very accurate information as I take this medication daily after having 5 major spinal fusions due to a rare genetic medical condition. Thank you for making this video very well done :-)
I've take 10-15 a day for the last 2 decades without any physical problems. Liver enzymes are fine. I take breaks fairly often without any DTs or anything close to those coming off benzodiazepines like valium.
Speaking of that. It fully cured my erectile dysfunction...so much do I got a job as a portable speed bump. I wear an orange jacket....and yellow Trojan
It’s interesting how this drug gets digested into meprobamate (Miltown) an old sedative from the 50’s. Miltown hasn’t been really used since benzos came around, but Soma is still prescribed to this day. I guess it’s cause the muscle relaxant effects are stronger than the sedative effects.
My mom used to abuse the shit out of these things when I was a kid before they were a controlled substance. She would get to the point where she couldn't even talk and do weird shit like pee on our front porch, microwave dog collars, wash her hands in milk. We tried checking her in to a hospital but they wouldn't take her because they said she had to sign paperwork and she wouldn't. She's dead now though no surprise.
@@Mrbobster87 I don't think he meant to be disrespectful, but considering the effects @Bill Doh described, there was probably more than just carisoprodol in that mix.
I don't care what anybody says carisoprodol is a godsend with a flaxseed diet I fixed my liver enzymes from taking with Norco and Soma but I have Physical pain every single day my lumbar kills me with stenosis, plus neck C5-6-7 Stenosis

Man, I took one of these and downed it witha Four Loco in high school then had to get a ride home from my dad. Oh shit that was legit one of the best highs I’ve ever had
@Antonio Trav I abused them and took way to many. Like 5 or 6 and had no tolerance. I took them to even me out from cocaine but I wound up in the hospital unresponsive for 24 hours. Xmas Eve too. Smh. Fortunatley ive been sober over 3 years now.
The most euphoric sedative I've ever used for sleep, it's an extremely effective muscle relaxer as well. I'm too young for the whole ludes/valium scene, but I can't imagine them feeling better than carisoprodol.
@@user-ji3bo5mk4i Euphoric, but not like opioids, it's a different euphoria, if that makes sense. But it's certainly more euphoric than any benzo out there, at least the ones that are commonly prescribed. Xanax/Valium would sedate and relax me, but not produce euphoria. Soma provides that euphoria and it's also awesome combined with opioids. I would often take 1-2 Somas and Vicodin, 10/325.
@@mindriot91_96 Bro as i took it i kinda felt depressed and was so tired after taking it and my muscles were so relaxed (But anyways i didnt felt any euphoria)
dude flexiril sucks, I took it once out of curiosity and never again. I'll stick to CBD and Kava for my muscle aches and pains, the mix of those 2 works a lot better than you'd think. If I could find a soma nowadays I'd definitely be taking them like candy though
@@mongogojjo5944 Yes, flexeril is terrible! Too bad some of these doctors can't get their head out of their ass. Carisoprodol is superior in action compared to flexeril. The docs are just scared of the DEA. Damn government intervention.

NO T H O T S WOW!! Blast from the past!!! Haven't met many people that have read that book. I read it in HS in an AP literature class. The instructor had a lot of upset parents and several students got notes from their parents to the instructor stating they wouldn't allow their children to read this book because of controversy. @Chris Chris the Canadian government discontinued the shit here back in 03 and its completely unscheduled. If I lived in the states I wouldn't have mentioned it. Didn't expect to get a reply on a comment from 2 years ago haha
It works great if you're actually in pain yes but the bad thing is is that it's a muscle relaxer and many people forget that the main thing that pumps are blood the heart is a muscle so to relax go to sleep don't wake up what happens to people on somas
Recreationally speaking, I'd say the night. They're very sedating as the carisoprodol metabolizes into meprobamate. If you take them during the day, get ready for a nap :)

Multiple sclerosis causes speech swallowing and a number of problems. The medication that causes the inability to forms words is not carisoprodol or soma that is actually baclofen. Which is when patients are not consulted is what happens.

It's safe, I've been on it for over 30 years, and it is NOT an opioid, therefore, NOT dangerous, and I suffer from Back pain in the Lower- Lumbar area.
Just because it's not an opioid doesn't mean it's not dangerous, lol. It causes respiratory depression (much moreso than benzos) and has a similar withdrawal (although often worse due to its short half-life; it's akin to alprazolam, triazolam or midazolam)

Unfortunately muscle relaxants often have this side effect, however from what I have personally experienced Carisoprodol doesn’t cause near the dry mouth for me that others do..
Shit goes amazing with opioids and alcohol. Don't mix unless you have a tolerance to downers, but it really does add on. Just soma+weed on its own would probably be pretty awesome too, but when taken with even weak opioids (ex: kratom, codeine) it really adds a whole layer of warmth and peacefulness

My doctor gave me 60 of them a few days ago. I can’t figure out what all the fuss is about because it’s like taking a aspirin. Why people like them and why nobody will prescribe them evades me because it’s virtually useless in my opinion. Doctor won’t prescribe real pain meds for a severe disk rupture in my spine but will prescribe this stuff that’s just as addictive and is a schedule 4 drug LOL. The medical system is broken. So far I’ve taken 2 350mg soma pills at once...no pain relief...no relaxation...and definitely no recreational feelings
If u don’t feel it just take 3 also if your liver isn’t functioning properly the drug won’t properly break down into mebromate which is similar to a barbiturate but don’t expect Opiod like effects they are two different drugs
Yeah it works better in combination with an opiate. I have several bulging discs and spinal stenosis after a motor vehicle accident that left me paralyzed from the waist down. I hope they help.
I found that eating about 5 minutes after you take these would significantly increase the effect/ euphoria. Sometimes I couldn’t walk out of Taco Bell lol
Like most doctors he's a moron who knows very little about pharmacology. One Dr told me that all benzos cancel each other out. He said if anyone ever overdoses on Xanax for instance then just give them a bunch of Valium or other benzos. Wonder how many people are dead due to his advise.
hey man love the bids. could you please do one on abilify? its an antipsycotic medically named (aripriprazole) its mainly used for bpd or manic depression and skizopherina. but is sometimes used for anxiety witch is my case
I'd say it is. High doses of soma and barbiturates are the closest 2 you can get to ludes, both are pretty hard to find nowadays unless you know someone, preferably someone really old lol.
ik this comment is old asf but i j wanted to say of the existing barbiturates that still get prescribed, butalbarbital or its trade name fioricet is likely to be the only barbiturate still in common use that's actually euphoric, and also most akin to qualuude.
