I can’t lie it kind of annoys me how people will be like “she’s so pretty she doesnt deserve this” like so some ugly girl doesn’t deserve better? Nobody fucking deserves to be in this life
This, some people even drags it a bit further still. Imagine being in a vulnerable position, talking about your struggles and people go "so sexy..etc".
I hear this all the time but you don't have to have childhood trauma to end up in this situation. Adult trauma is just as damaging. It can take one bad relationship/life event. There's a lot of contradictions coming from her which shows a high level of cognitive dissonance, deep down she seems really unhappy and traumatized from her experiences as a sex worker. I hope she's able to build on her self esteem and get out of this situation.
Facts. Obviously she didn't have examples of a loving relationship OR one would not be "easily taken" by a guy who "encourages" you to "prostitute" VERSUS make "quick money" in other ways [the financial market is vast]; your "personhood" is not just your "sexual-body"
Mark I am a recovering addict. I have a lot of days that are really rough mentally in sobriety. Your videos give me perspective and keep me grounded in this wild world. Thank you for what you do.
As an endocrinologist, I can affirm that Type 1 diabetes mellitus is a very severe disease. Please take care of yourself. My heart is with you and I will think of you everyday.
✍️Edited *PANCREAS* Thank you kids! I feel like a thread celebrity seeing my name guyyys! 🤩 @@holmes426 for type 1, it's her *PANCREAS* isn't doing what it should. She has to constantly monitor her blood sugar levels, take insulin... defnot easy for a girl in her "lifestyle"- if you will. Not as easy as diet/exercise for Type 2'ers when it can potentially be managed or resolved.
Love the name 😊 And as an RN, I can affirm that I’ve cared for numerous patients where uncontrolled DM has completely and utterly wrecked their bodies. Multiple hospitalizations for DKA and HHNS. A 30 year old that needed peritoneal dialysis, amputations, a transplant and went almost completely blind. It’s really heartbreaking, especially when you don’t have adequate medical support from your parents at a vulnerable age. Not to mention, a young school age kid who died at a sleepover when her parents didn’t hear their glucose alarm on their phone because they had one night out. 😢
My daughter was also 6 years old when she was diagnosed. As a momma, it breaks my heart that she has been the icu so much. If diabetes is not treated properly, it can affect every other organ in the body. It can lead to blindness and amputation of limbs, specially the feet due to poor circulation. Diabetes is also one of the most expensive diseases to have. 1 insulin pen is around $100, my 10 year old goes through 2-3 a month. Not to mention the cost of all the testing supplies. I hope she has some kind of insurance.
@@holmes426 diabetics can eat anything they just need insulin before the eat it. Their bodies don't turn carbs into energy bc their bodies nor longer produce insulin. Everyone, in a perfect world, would eat the things you mentioned sparingly. But diabetics can absolutely have sweets and cake.
These videos keep me grounded and grateful, ive been clean and sober 2 years and life is hard but it could always be worse. Ill be praying for us all. Thank you Mark and everybody involved in these videos.
Those men are absolutely disgusting. She needs to get out, and learn to live a life free from oppression. I understand that her pimp gives her things, but she needs to earn it differently. You can still get an education without paying outta pocket. There is help out there. The streets are way too dangerous and they will eat you up and spit you out.
@17:03: She mentions her baby that was “born” dead after only six and-a-half months gestation. She later, @28:08, talks about receiving a severe beating while pregnant. She called it a “domestic violence relationship”, therefore, it is safe to assume the beating was at the hands of her pimp. Her ribs were broken and she wound up in the hospital. How do you break the ribs of a woman pregnant in her third trimester without harming the fetus?? Although she’s not saying so directly, it is more than obvious her pimp murdered her unborn child. 🙏🏿❤️ 🕊 😢
The Accuracy!not one except for you mentioned the cry for help this Queen is suffering she is broken 😭💔 This pimp is the devil himself smh Lord please deliver your child 🙏🏾

“We’re all here trying to just get out the game” - when talking about her and her pimp. Really hard to hear, because I guarantee you he isn’t trying to get out of shit. He is right where he wants to be and has her right where he wants her. It’s upsetting to see someone think they have it all figured out and that they have allies taking care of them - when really they’ve been manipulated beyond belief. I hope she realizes this soon.
Right. He ain’t trying to get out of nothing. That is so true. These men completely exploit the power of these women. And not being able to manage your money is not an excuse to not make 100% off of your own “product.”
I was diagnosed Type 1 when I was 21, I’m 38 now. Definitely had my share of close calls, it’s NOT a disease to mess around with. When you said your pimp knows how to INVEST, I damn near choked on my coffee. He INVESTS IN WOMEN…..YOU to be exact. He makes his money selling your body to other nasty men, he doesn’t care about you. If you died today, he’d have another gal in 4 minutes and move on like you never existed. You’re a DAMN number to him, not a person with a beating heart and feelings. I’ve watched your face this entire episode-you look exhausted and tired. You’re 23 years old, you’ve got an entire life ahead of you. I CAN ONLY HOPE that you read these comments and know that you’re capable of so much more than this lifestyle that you’re currently living. ♥️
Not sure what was with the otherwise talented interviewer, Mark, in talking up pimps' established ability to "invest, save, and manage money" which "90% of the girls don't know the first thing about". I can't even start with that today.

My sisters boyfriend of 15 years had type 1 and would pass out and sieze if he didn't stay on top of his medications. He got you an apartment, but you don’t want an apartment. He got you a car, the title needs to be in your name. If the title is not in your name is not your car. He knows how to save, what percentage of that money is saved for you. That you can touch any time that you need to touch it without asking. Is it in the bank account, is it in money orders with your name on it that only you can cash out. Is it on a prepaid debit card that only you have the pin to. And if it is on the debit card, that card need to be locked away someplace where it’s not easy for you to touch and can’t nobody else touch; that he can put money on that card remotely. If you’re going to do this do this and make sure that you have something to walk away to when you’re ready to walk away. If your name is not on it you don’t own it.
Apartment is being rented, it is not hers, car is probably in his name, he saved nothing for her. She has no money. He keeps them broke so they can't leave

Carissa needs the self esteem to match her exterior. You have to care about yourself enough to have the strength to walk away from Men who absolutely mean You no Good. I hope she realizes one day that street life isn't the way to happy.
I am not sure she is short on self esteem. The johns mean her no more good than she means to them, mostly. She is quite proud that she managed to rob one of them.

My friend's daughter was diagnosed with diabetes at a very young age and at 16 she met a guy that practiced the rastafarian religion which changed her lifestyle and diet and ever since then she no longer suffers or takes any kind of meds or insulin for diabetes. She's now in her mid 20's.
Being a 48 year old English guy that has cancer…I wish someone would take this young lady under their wing and give her a chance…we all deserve a chance ❤️ I’m not being weird or creepy but I wish these young people could live normal lives without fear or intimidation. Sometimes we all need to do desperate things in desperate times but we are all human.
Unbelievable, these comment sections coddle these whatever you want to call them. She's a volunteer not a victim. She admitted out of her own mouth that she came from a 2 parent home & her parents did the best they could. She openly admits to robbing guys & how cold she is & wonder why society looks down on that lifestyle. I gotta keep it 💯, people easily fooled because a girl looks a certain way she's innocent

I enjoyed this interview and her personality. I wish she had gone more in depth about her diabetes and this lifestyle. I have type 1 and it gives me horrible anxiety even though I am on a pump and CGM. Wishing her the best!!
May I ask what ranges you are in on a typical day AFTER eating? like how high do you usually go? I'm asking because my daughter was diagnosed few months ago before she turned 2 and trying to find out what most peoples ranges they like to stay under after eating.
@@JamieReynolds89 if I give myself the proper amount of insulin I am usually around 140- 160 2hrs after eating but I have a hard time dosing myself properly because I am petrified of going low. My a1c usually runs around 6.5 with 75% time in range. If you are able to get her on a pump or at least CGM I would highly recommend it. The CGM helps give me piece of mind even when I am riddled with anxiety. I also eat high carb diet most of the time. When I did low carb I rarely went over 180 ever and had an a1c of 6.2. Diabetes is such a journey with lots of ups and downs and I wish you the best on her journey ❤️, I can only imagine how hard it is to manage a little one with this disease.

She’s an absolute doll. She also seems smart and like she’s got her head on straight. I hope she gets to college or chases a bigger dream before the streets completely crush her.
No her head is not at all on straight. She grew up fine and found herself in this situation…she’s delusional. Ofc hope she sees thru it but it’s delusion. It’s like this life hasn’t fully hit her yet. She’s still just a witness not a participant in her mind

A “good pimp”???? That’s like saying, “Well, yeah he was a slave owner but he didn’t always beat on his slaves. And he fed them well.” Let’s not forget what pimps do at the end of the day. A pimp isn’t taking care of her money because it isn’t her money. She earns it and he takes it.
Prostitutes are equally as bad themselves , plus most of them spend all their money on drugs , hence the reason they’re doing prostitution in the first place , pimps do manage money do you actually think some lady would give her hard earned money away for no reason , theirs a reason pimps do exist.
What's wrong with it if she's happy? She did say she would have never bought a car or an apartment if he didn't manage her money, so why not let grown people do what they want? Aren't you a slave of your work? Gaining money for your boss while he gives you a small amount of it?
@@alilarhdiri9666 She's not happy, her words. Watch the other interview with her on street voices. Comparing the blade to other jobs is also ridicolous.
@Ali Larhdiri u literally make no sense. My boss OWNS the company/business/building I work for/at…then pays me. A pimp doesn’t own anyone else’s body but his/her very own, but still thinks they’re entitled to money that wasn’t earned by them. A pimp doesn’t work for the money but they convince & collect money owed to others that isn’t theirs. Pimps don’t work for their money, they just manipulate others into thinking they do. U have a very skewed way of thinking if u believe otherwise…like u do… 🤷🏻♀️
I love her personality, well spoken, drug free, young lady in her prime, gosh I wish she knew her worth. Quick money has its downfalls So does slow money, it's not fast enough, but it's stable guaranteed money, trust me you'll be doing it sooner or later, sex work isn't a sustainable career, with the dangers I seriously hope she reconsiders her life choices, wishing her the best🙏🏽

There are so many comments, too many to read them all, but I am glad to see so many that have compassion and insight. I hope that Carissa has an epiphany that moves her back to school, and out of the life sooner than later.
It will be hard for her to leave the streets, she's addicted to the fast money and only lives in the moment. She's still very young and I hope that she can get her life together before it's too late. Her type 1 diabetes will take a heavy toll on her life with her lifestyle if she isn't careful.
She seems to be mindful of her health. I’ve always had serious medical issues, so I do know what it takes to stay on top of it. I will be full of problems within a week if I’m not doing the right thing, and I survived the sex industry. The main thing that gets us girls off track with health issues is substance use. I fell into using things that weren’t prescribed that for a relatively short time, compared to how long I was out there. I’m still paying for it, though. If it gets to a point you are using to work and working to use, it’s time to go. Unless you can get back to doing it sober. You can’t buy your health back with money!
@@sciencenotstigma9534 Do you mind if I ask you what you have done with your life since you have exited the industry? If that is too personal by all means don’t answer the question. Congratulations by the way, getting used to making money like that has to be tough to turn away from.
@@sciencenotstigma9534 I beg to differ. She stated clearly that she doesn't take her insulin on a regular basis, that's why she ends up in the hospital so frequently as she said.
Unfortunately there aren't many jobs that will pay these girls $500-1000+ per day(instantly), so they have a legitimate reason not to quit tricking. Regardless of upbringing, trauma, substance abuse, danger, pimps, etc-- we can't ignore the true incentive.
Love your kids and raise them to be confident individuals who love and believe in themselves. Support and love them and the rest is up to them. I hope she eventually realizes that she deserves more than the lifestyle she is glamorizing.
The "relationship" with the Pimp and the other workers is a deep interdependent relationship. It is a bond that fills them when they come from a feeling of loss and emptiness.
A lot of Jamaicans went to panama during the building of the Panama Canal. So many Panamanians have Jamaican (and even further back west African) ancestry. It’s pretty interesting.

I really hope you can find your way out, its really sad to see so many people in this situation, you have a really good attitude Carissa and I wish tbe very best for you
I have to agree as well. Something is very off with her. She's the complete opposite of a typical prostitute. Things she's said don't add up. She seems to like her lifestyle and doesn't want to get out. She's very content working 7 days a week.
She has built her dreams around money, but has not yet discovered that money does not buy happiness. She seems unfulfilled. Also, she denies having trauma, yet seems very guarded about letting people in. I suspect she grew up with a lack of affectionate relationships. She seems very smart. I believe she will figure things out in her own way and on her own terms. Maybe see a therapist? Best wishes for her.
Just as my own personal counterpoint I believe she has oversold the job her parents did to an extent. They covered all the obvious basics but they did not equip her with the life skills she needed to see through a bad actor’s rhetoric. There was absolutely no reason for her to have had to engage in this lifestyle.
@J A Having diabetes is hard! Alot of people with diabetes have depression as part of the symptom which makes it even harder for them to take care of themselves.
@@DivinityAwakened It's not black and white. Yes, she is now an adult and must be held accountable for her life AND is also responsible to undo the damage her parents did (if that's applicable to her). Parents are responsible for whatever job they did or didn't do. But they get off without being held accountable for anything. It's unfair but such is life.
I pray this beautiful young lady has safety until she decides to leave the industry.....I so hope she goes to school and takes off from there in another career, so much potential ❤👑

“Nothing’s by Force……Honestly.” Mark: How many days do you work? Carissa: 7 Mark: No Days Off? Carissa: I take Breaks. 😕 Her Pimp is Working Her like a Mississippi Mule.
It would be interesting to keep track of how many hours she works and how much she actually makes. I wouldn't be surprised if it's basically the same as someone with a regular job, even a crappy job, especially once you factor in things like legal expenses, health care, etc. The only difference now is she's not paying taxes. Basically if she just learned not to waste money on dumb stuff it would probably be just as profitable to work at Walmart
She was still working while pregnant. That makes me so sad. I don't understand how her pimp makes her feel safe and then relay he beat her so badly, he killed her 6 1/2 month-old baby. Was she planning to work afterwards? She could not keep the baby safe when he or she was still inside her. Who was going to watch the infant while she is working? My heart is broken for anyone in this situation.
@@debcollins8231 It sounded like the guy she was with when she was pregnant is not the same guy she's with now but otherwise I'm with you. If he actually cared about her well being he would do everything in his power to keep her out of this situation, not help her facilitate this lifestyle

That's so true. You truly can't judge something you haven't experienced or someone who's shoes you haven't walked in.. It's normal for our minds to judge, that's what they do, but we don't have to identify with that thought and can instead find compassion and enough humility to know that we don't know what we don't know.

I wonder if her diagnosis plays a big part in her reckless lifestyle 🤔 She’s so beautiful and has so much potential, I wish she could see herself as we see her! Wish her the best❤️❤️
Her looks is what got her hunting men for money. Diabetes don't make you sell your body. She just don't want to live positive and danger free. In fact danger excites her. She has an amazing body, beautiful look that for sure but don't know how to keep it out the street.
