What a fighter sarwarn was. It's a shame what the board did to him

I remember reading that, when Lara was captain, he dropped sarwan due to fitness issues. Sarwan had a lot of talent, but he wasn't as hardworking as chanderpaul or Lara.

you know, I would always wonder, but now I can say, that Sarwan's front foot is very committed to the drive. always

When someone plants their front foot like that, they’re a prime lbw candidate. What % of Sarwan’s dismissals were lbw?

Two of the most naturally gifted players. Hooper never hit the ball in anger and the ball would race off the bat. Still two of my all time favourites, but as usual, WICB treats them with scant regard

I don't entirely agree. Neither of them fully did justice to their talent. Hooper was too careless. And sarwan didn't prioritise fitness enough.

Sarwan and Hooper two of the best we had In the Caribbean!! A shame their careers ended prematurely.

@ramsey robert Carl Hooper was a very good all rounder. He averaged 35 in both batting and bowling in test. He was a very good economical bowler. One of the greatest fielders ever while sarwan averaged above 40 in odis which I think is enough to consider them more than good cricketers😉😉

............ although Sarwan was not as bad as Hooper was, the latter was all class, but no runs to support the class

Hooper underperformed at test level...for someone of his talents, he should've matched Lara! Sarwan was an interesting one. Had a good test average but, when I watched him bat, I never felt assured that he was in control (like watching Shiv, Lara, Viv, Dessie, CGG and even the likes of Jimmy Adams' when he was in form).

Ramnaresh Sarwan. Massively underrated. Both shiv Chanderpaul and Ramnaresh Sarwan had carried this turgid westindies team on their shoulders for nearly two decades. Still the foolish people celebrate Brian Lara more than these two living legends

Govana Blaxx I made that comment two years ago, so in response to your comment I watched again today. This is not beautiful test batting. Edging through the slips, edging past the stumps is beautiful batting?? There are a couple of nice shots as well but I could scan RU-vid right now and find many better examples of beautiful batting from Hooper. He was a class batsman, elegance personified. I’ve watched so much test cricket over 45 years on TV and live in England, Barbados and Sri Lanka) I just don’t agree with the title of this video,
