Hi friends! As I'm sure you may have noticed I love Carl Martin pedals and use them everyday when recording! They gave me a PlexiTone pedal to try out and one of you will be the lucky winner of our giveaway! I made a quick video trying out the pedal and recording a (failed attempt) at an outro solo... haha! It's a great little pedal and I really liked the natural amp distortion I was able to get with it! Personally I liked it with all of the knobs in the center position, but I had some fun cranking it as well! I hope you enjoy the video and good luck! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hey man, love your video great sound 🤟 just question you sound like your brit like me Man I've recently just got one these but it's got this inherent hum going into it (I've tried isolating it from other pedal) just like you have here. It appears to be like earth what voltage are you running 9volt DC of the pedal in to your power supply? thank you so kindly ☺️
Hi +fuzzy overdrive Definitely! I usually overdrive my amp lightly, but it seemed to make more sense to keep it clean so you could all hear what the pedal is doing! Have a marvelous time recording and mixing! Many thanks Warren
Hi +noisesoundtonevibe Thanks very much! Yes that guitar solo at the end was a little whacked! haha Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +bdhere1 It's the solo record by Steve Maggiora (the keyboard player of Robert Jon and the Wreck) and the song is called 'Get Into It'. Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +Doug Payne I agree! They were, literally! haha I was using a BAE 312 into a Pro Tools 192. Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Aloha, Warren & everybody! It's 'singy', melodic voiced. Pretty cool. When I want a 'tube' OD, BK Butler Tube Driver. And a noise gate. Hello to the noise floor, just LIKE a old cranking Marshie, indeed! Kind of reminds me of ooooold Neal Schon, right before the EQ's & stuff gets it.
Hi +Andrew Byrne Mixing Thanks for the great question! Yes!! haha Believe or not we are announcing very soon! I know it's been ages, but I've been listening to every mix and making notes, I didn;t realise how much work that would be between making albums, filming videos and running the Produce Like A Pro Academy! Haha Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +Andrew Byrne Mixing Yes!! I am looking forward to spending some time on a beach with my family! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +Danny James Thanks very much!! Yes I really enjoyed using the pedal! I only have one and I'm giving it away! haha Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +zifee mayne Haha glad you enjoyed it! It was just one take and I completely overplayed, but I really enjoyed doing that! Ha Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +FRANKE PECE Thanks very much!! Yes I will definitely be doing more videos on drums! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +Watchman4u That's a very interesting question! My gut is yes it would definitely be closer to a British sound using the Plexi Tone Pedal! I was really impressed with the pedal! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Hi +Watchman4u Oh yes indeed! I just took her, family and friends out for lunch at Mastro's in Malibu! It's her 40th, so it's a big one! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
Haha, you said to watch out for the Fat Finger in an up coming video but I missed it until I went to look for it. As it turns out the head of your guitar spends a lot of time just below the camera.Funny thing about first takes. Heck, I can be freely jamming a fully written lead that I know like the back of my hand but one the first take I'll generally screw it up. Maybe it's that thing where I'm dividing my attention between engineering and performing?
Hi +L. Scott Music Haha the fat finger is everywhere! Works great on the Yamaha Pacifica!! Have a marvellous time recording and mixing, many thanks Warren
