This clip, broadcast on Christmas Day in 1972, is taken from an ITV Christmas special called "All Star Comedy Carnival." ITV's All Star Comedy Carnival was an annual Christmas special that featured new mini-episodes of popular British sitcoms and light entertainment programs with some musical interludes. The show was broadcast annually on 25 December on ITV from 1969 to 1973.
The clip is from the "Lunchtime With Wogan" segment. All 44 episodes of "Lunchtime With Wogan" are missing and believed lost, only the Christmas Special segment survives.
Carl Wayne was an English singer and actor. He is best remembered as the lead singer of The Move in the 1960s.
