This is so awesome! Depression and anxiety is what brought me back to my faith as well. I had about a three-year very painful period of neglecting my mental health and spending time with people who did not have my best interests at heart. Therapy helped me a lot too but honestly it’s prayer more than anything that has made a difference and giving me peace. I still struggle but it has gotten so much better. I am so happy to be reconnecting with my faith. I actually found Girls Gone Bible because of you, and they have been such a great influence as well. As Muslims we aren’t allowed alcohol for these reasons and more. So glad you got a grip on yourself! Proves you are conscientious. Keep reading the word of the Lord, it’s the ultimate peace. I feel like this is speaking to me. I’m craving alcohol because of stress and boredom. I’m overwhelmed by motherhood. Haven’t been baptized yet but I do attend a church. I’m just struggling - prayers welcome.
