Carleen, you are so wise. When I had 3 young kids, I definitely didn’t have it so together. And by the time I did, they were in high school and beyond. Motherhood is hard. I think social media makes it harder. Thank you for your transparency and insight.

Laundry every other day usually. Decluttering is key!

Grandma here... my PPD hit when my youngest (now 38) was 13 months old. It took another 10 years before I was finally diagnosed with Bipolar 1 after a severe bout of mania. That was in 1995 and medication has saved my life. Weight has been my albatross and I will just say "GLP-1" - it is saving my life as medication for BPD has. You really are fantastic!

This will sounds odd. Do as you see fit. But look into a metal detox. It can really effect mental functions. It can happen from anything. Also into parasites! Both very use to clean out.

Needed this so much. Mom of 3 in the depression, can’t get out the bed make a meal. Going to get a therapist… I felt that so deeply. Thank you Carleen💜

So glad you're giving yourself grace!!! Years from now you will look back as a lesson. Laundry twice a week. Sometimes whole day but i agree it strenuous to alyways think of it daily

I used to do laundry once a week because we have to go to the laundromat and that worked fine except we always ran out of certain clothes before the week and we had to keep so many sets of uniforms and baby clothes etc. but recently we got our own small washer for our apartment and it’s been amazing doing a load a day! We can only do one a day because we have to hang our clothes to dry. I love it so much, all of our clothes are cleaned at least every few days and we never run out of the things we need. We haven’t gotten fall clothes yet and our toddler only has like 3 pairs of pants right now and it works for us even though we are running low. Now I don’t need 9 uniform sets either

if I could only watch one channel on YT forevermore I think I'd choose yours... and I'm not even a mom. or a wife (yet). you and C'jon express the benefits and actual life practice of minimalism so well... you make it feel so attainable and beautiful in a raw LIFE way, not just an aesthetic way. these last two videos have been especially good and I'm happy you two can put video-making back in your routines! also as a side tangent, I think the way you both talk about your faith in your videos is really beautiful. of course you're under no obligation to be subtle- it's literally YOUR life- but I think seeing the role your religion plays in your life has a little side effect of leaving me more open to God. I'm sure it's more complex than that (I was raised Christian but my parents fell out of faith when I was a young teen, we all became atheists, now in my 20s my little sister is on a new faith journey and that's been very eye-opening to me as well. I'm reading CS Lewis and sh*t... who am I) but perhaps worth noting and thanking you for...

Mumma of 11 here. I only have 6 at home at the moment. But ive really struggled with adhd and autism as well as my brain not functioning at 100%vso for years everything was chaos. And theres a lot i regret. But, ive gone nuts with decluttering and organizing and it getting easier to keep on top of housework. Im currently going through my whole house one room at a time and will then move onto our 6 car garage and my husband's big shed. Im halfway through scanning 20+ years of paperwork onto a memory stick and it feels so freeing!☺️ My husband, likes to hold on to some things and i let him have his space. I wish i had been more proactive in managing my home when i was young. But, no point dwelling on things we cant change.

I think being a minimalist drives us to depression over the years ocd is one of them I totally identify with everything u said I experience a load of crap for 1 month chest pains did an ecg all clear did bloods all clear so what I was going thru God knew,now I understand that it was my mental health ,I couldn't take in a lot of information bow I stopped video calls ,I don't allow other ppl problem for me to overthink.

I was struggling with thyroid issues after I had my two small children. Ages 15 months and 2 years old. This is where I found minilism durling a hard season in my life. I thought I had postpartum depression. I had thyroid surgery last November. ❤ I'm glad you're doing better.

I’m like you, I do laundry twice a week. I don’t want to think about laundry everyday! Even if your doing a small load, you have to go through all the same motions many times a week. I would rather go through all those motions just once or twice a week. Decluttering is major… I don’t even have kids at home anymore and I have to have a minimal home.

Love ❤️ great advice! I’m curious if you guys still put any boundaries or limitations on screen time for yourself or your children? Do your kids use tablets? I know that can be a sensitive topic lol not coming from a judgmental place at all just wondering. Having such minimal toys I feel like my daughter takes a lot more advantage of screen time. And being a stay at home mom I feel a lot of guilt if I’m using too much media or spending any down time. Thoughts?

So what rime do you go to bed if you wake up at 5? I love waking up early to for alone time..everything you said..i get. But i find i end up sleepy before afternoon.
