@anujbeatles

Once in a generation talent.. So glad he has someone widely experienced but also humble (and handsome) like Juan Carlos Ferrero to help him realize his immense talent. Tennis's future was never in doubt, but the Big 3/4's shadow certainly started to cast upon us, but now we can rest assured that we will always have the highest level of quality in Tennis to enjoy for another decade or two, touch wood. Really looking forward to seeing Carlos lead the pack and also in the process, raise the level for everyone on tour. Would be fascinating to see guys like Medvedev, Tsitsipas, Frances, Taylor, Felix and of course his own gen - Jannik, Jenson, Draper etc try to figure him out these next many years. Maybe the key will be revealed by Djokovic next year, who knows! All we know is Tennis is in SAFE HANDS, and we are all the better for it.
@milosc__7310
@milosc__7310 2 года назад
Why you have to exagerate everything and say "once in a generation talent" after only one slam and one season ? You still dont know if a guy like Sinner may become better than Alcaraz. Djokovic started winning slams years after Nadal but when he started he filled the gap pretty quickly and became almost unstoppable. Just like Nadal, Alcaraz developped early, but we cant know who will be the best one in 4/5 years. Random statements like he is once in a generation talent that early makes non sense to me
@nathaliafernandez207
@nathaliafernandez207 2 года назад
@@milosc__7310 But what you are saying still doesn’t make the statement false, they’re not mutually exclusive. That person isn’t talking about who is the best. I'm quite disappointed in Medvedev, Zverev, Tsitsipas. To consistently get abused by 35-year-olds when you are in your 20's is just inexcusable, especially when you have a 2-set lead (shame on you Tsitsipas and shame on you Medvedev)> Earlier I used to say that it was down to a lack of experience, but now they have more than enough experience. Honestly I could see Alcaraz beating Djokovic or Nadal in a slam final; he seems to have more drive and desire than Medvedev, Zverev, or Tsitsipas who have consistently failed against them. Better mental strength as well.

@Pablo_Caja
@Pablo_Caja 2 года назад
Nadal used to put the ball in the center of the court with a high bounce when he was 19 years old and he ran without stopping because he had an incredible physical condition and determination, Alcaraz is more aggressive, he looks for lines and goes to the net and he has determination too. Federer was amazing but he didn't have the same determination as Nadal or Alcaraz at 19 years old. I think that Alcaraz is more aggressive and complete than them at 19 years old.

9:20 Has Marzorati not watched Carlos play? Coming forward is who he is. He models his net game after Federer and has said so explicitly. Exclaiming surprise at those moves in this match, and constantly bringing up Nadal the way these reporters keep doing at the expense of anyone else, is annoyingly ignorant.

The spots prove he's still a teenager. 😅. Hopefully he stops the big 3 and force them all to retire already, its about time. Nadal still the 🐐 as of today.

I don't know why Kyrgios's name came up in this interview. It is not as if he is the cynosure of what is best in tennis!!! Actually, Carlos is, not that blabbermouth. And it should be Carlos telling him: "I told you..."

as talented as he is, I am happy for him to br no. 1. However, I have to say that I’m not sure if this was the correct way for the ATP to have a new no.1. It is not alcaraz’s fault so I do not want to take anything away from him. However, we all still know that Djokovic is still the best in the world. The only reason why he is dropping in rankings is because he is not allowed to comepete in both Australian and US Open, and this year’s Wimbledon decided to not give any points for some dumb reason.. What is the point of the rankings if the true no. 1 is undeservedly dropping rankings to a broken system?

Thing is that Djokovic has been away from the court for quite a bit, so I’m not sure how much in shape he will be when he returns to play, and if he will be able to defend his number 1 title

Djokovic and Alcaraz both have to follow the same rules. Alcaraz follows, Djokovic doesn't. How is this fair?
