He's got every shot in the book, knows when to use them, is dumb fast, and is mentally tough AF. The most dynamic player since Federer. It's pure joy watching him.
@@mike_thiel My dude, the mechanics are all different. Having said that, my comment was that he has every shot in the book; having Rafa's forehand is a compliment.
I know... Paul saved 19 break points... 19!!! That is sick!!! ... Tommy played out of his mind and was actually more mentally tough than Alcaraz, and still lost in 4.
The amount of breaking points Tommy saved in the first set was crazy, I do feel his serve was to poor to really challenge Alcarez over three sets, not Tommy best overall match.
Carlos is definitely the fav heading into the semis against danil but Medvedev can definitely make it interesting On the other side I see Djoker coming out on top despite Fritz playing exceptional on grass and musetti playing the best he’s ever played on grass Same with Alex
Yea I could see that only if Alex starts hot early If Djoker gets going he doesn’t stand a chance Fritz has a mental hurdle against Novak he can’t get over Musetti would be scarier if it was on clay He’s playing great on grass tho despite it being his worst surface
I thought Carlos was in trouble after being down 5-7 0-2. I was thinking oh dear, he may have to come back from 2 sets to 0 down for the first time in his career to survive this one against this difficult match-up with Paul and that hope maybe Paul drops off a touch. What does Carlos do? He only drops 2 more games in each of the three remaining sets that he played and blasted Paul off the court with controlled aggression and variety... a serious change of tactics from earlier where he was grinding it out and counterpunching with Paul in the first half of the match where he was losing that tactical game to Paul. Stunning turnaround and Paul did match him with his own bag of tricks with his variety for another set and a half but then eventually ran out of answers to the Spaniard's tactical change. Carlos didn't need to come back from 2 sets to 0 down.
It's pretty amazing to see how much is Carlos improving. Something many in the ATP should look for. They don't need to get at his level but to aim to achieve progress. Carlos #1!
Tough match. Alcaraz missed so many break points in the first set. Tommy was just too tricky. Alcaraz has a very tough draws and glad to see him manage it to this point. Congratulations on the tough win. Danil is a very tricky player. He never gives up. All the best in the next round.
Alcaraz is simply of another planet!!He s the best tennis player in the world so far about everything!!i hope he can win another wimbledon!!Vamos carlos!!
@@unowen7591that wouldn’t make any difference imo. Only thing a tougher draw would do to Djoko is maybe injure him. Really hope for a Carlos Djoko rematch in the final with hopefully the same result from last year.
He got that percentage of converted break points after Roger. No wonder Djoko says he is combination of big3. Backhand slide like Novak, speed and defence like Rafa and BP convertion like Roger 😂😂😂😂😂
@@danielkarpinsky9721Is that some sort of insult against Roger? I'd also say Carlos has a great forehand like Roger but Carlos might just have a better one
@@ryaniam22Bro i am still one of the biggest Fed fans. I love tennis tho, I also respect Rafa and Novak very much. Love him forever and still rewatch old matches. I saw almost every Federer match since 2007 he ever played live. Never missed always made time whenever it was in work on my phone just always. And visually I have a great memory of those matches and the thing always iritated me when he played were his BP conversions. Us 2015 against Nole he, had like 4/21...Tsonga i remember in Monte Carlo 2014 he had like 0/14 or 0/11 idk exactly since he finally converted one. So not insult just a pure joke and also little facts in that..
@@danielkarpinsky9721 Oh I hear ya. Yes Roger did always have a way to seemingly being less efficient at break points that the other top players. He also seemed to get a lot more of them. Too bad. It drove me nuts too haha because I was usually cheering for him
Yo opino que Carlos es él,no copiando lo de ningun jugador, pienso que es mejor no comparar,es su juego,el De Carlos Alcaraz, un joven genial por si solo, unico❤❤❤❤
Alcaraz : the guy's 'a comedian - who happens to be good at tennis - like from another planet - so entertaining, absolutely brilliant to watch - he's on a march to win Wimbledon '24
A great match and fight by Tommy Paul even if I am an Alcaraz fan. Paul is DEFINITELY someone to watch as he has moved impressively up in the rankings and was able to hold his own against Alcaraz for a good while.
Its crazy how Carlos has turned around his serve into a reliable and dependable weapon of mass destruction. I remember his loss to Sinner here couple of years ago and he exploited Carlos’ serve especially the 2nd serve as Sinner used his long levers for unplayable returns off them.
@@rogerreverence4737"They were all?" Who are "they"? Most of us were just saying he was a contender for the title, as Alcaraz and Djokovic. Same meaningless remark again😢 And i am rooting for Alcaraz
This is a very good rivalry Paul often gives him his hardest challenge. I think Tommy is the best American man on court. He will become their number 1 player. Glad Carlis won.
Uploader definitely favored T.Paul with more winner highlights compared to Carlos who had overall more winners. Also, these highlights need to be slightly longer.
It’s definitely looking like a alcaraz Djoker rematch of last years final unless something crazy happens Hats off to all the other contenders but these 2 look like they are on a collision course
One tactic Tommy should have used is to return the ball quickly to Carlos foot., this is effective for player against a player who runs fast like Carlos! LOl!
Carlos doesn't even play well atm (except for the 4th set, where he was stress-free), but the boy knows how to win. As simple as that! I believe he has Medvedev's number, but still, he's gotta raise his level by a lot, if he wants to beat Novak (unless a miracle happens). This is simply not good enough! Too many easy mistakes. 4th set should be his guide. That's the level he needs for larger periods of time in a match, if he wants to repeat.
